Georgia falls only one spot after getting blasted by Bama and as crazy as it sounds, it makes sense! “Waaaait For It!”

Now that we’re knee deep into a college football season that’s hard to make sense of. It’s even more difficult to make sense out of the weekly rankings. With only three of the Power 5 conferences even suited and booted up. How do you rank the teams from the Big Ten and PAC12 when they haven’t played a game yet?

Some teams have played 5 games where others haven’t played a down of football and it’s darn near November.

I saw folks fired up about Georgia only falling one spot in this week’s ranking from No.3 to No.4 after getting their doors blown off at Alabama over the weekend 41-24.

Sure, under normal circumstances I would be fired up too but where are you going to drop them? The Top 10 looks like this at this point; 1) Clemson (5-0), 2) Alabama (4-0), 3) Notre Dame (3-0), 4) Georgia (3-1), 5) Ohio State (0-0), 6) Oklahoma State 3-0), 7) Texas A&M (3-1), 8) Penn State (0-0), 9) Cincinnati (3-0), 10) Florida (2-1).

So…we can’t drop them below Ohio State or Penn State because neither of them have even played a freakin’ game yet. We have no idea how good or bad they are at this point. Oklahoma State is Oklahoma State at this point. Sure, they’re undefeated but they’re still Oklahoma State. They struggled against Tulsa Week 1 and yeah…they won the game but it was Tulsa bruh. Can we really drop Georgia behind the Cowboys? Cincinnati doesn’t play anybody so that 3-0 is literally smoke and mirrors and a bag of Funyuns.

I would think that once Ohio State and Penn State suite up this weekend and play a few games the shuffle should be on, especially with Ohio State. Justin Fields and Co. should open a ton of eyes and could move both Georgia and Notre Dame out of the way in the weeks to come.

Quite honestly, Notre Dame is going to get the brakes beaten off of them by Clemson this weekend. So we won’t have to hear about them for the rest of the season. It should be 1) Clemson, 2) Alabama, 3) Ohio State and 4) Georgia before long.

Nobody’s coming out of the Big 12 now that Oklahoma has already wet the bed…twice. They’ll win the conference with two losses because they’ll beat everyone else. Both Kansas State and Iowa State with soil the mattress before the season is over because they are who they are. Sit in the cut and in my Huggy Lowdown voice, “Waaaait for it!” Stop me when I start lyin’!
