Even in the mist of an American crisis the LeBron haters take no days off! “Crabs in a Bucket”

There are two things that NOBODY, regardless of color, ever wants to admit to being; 1) A racists and 2) a hater. People will deny, deny, deny that label for themselves even when all of the evidence is on their person and in their hearts.

Folks act like both the racist and the hater live on planets in a galaxy far far away and that they show up to do racist and or hater-type stuff (and that’s the edited version) and go back to their respective planets.

We’re going to skip calling out the racists today. Let’s focus on all of the haters that are so petty even in times of social unrest. Even during a time when black folks are fighting to be treated fairly by the police and trying to make sure that our Black Lives Matter the hater can’t help himself.

On Tuesday when the NBA Players decided to boycott the games starting with the Milwaukee Bucks refusing to come out of their locker room. It triggered a landslide of the other two games not being played in the NBA, the WBNA followed suit and Major League Baseball shut it down for the day as well.

It was one of the most powerful statements made in all of sports history. The Clippers and Lakers held a player’s meeting and initially it was reported that they voted to end the season because cats were that distraught about the ongoing treatment of black folks by the police.

Jacob Blake being shot seven times in the back in front of his three kids was another example of inhumane treatment of black folks by the police that we all were able to witness. It seems to keep happening with no end in sight. Some police seem to have no regard for black lives. It was a powerful moment in American history for professional athletes to literally walk off of the job in protest of injustice.

However, the hater takes no days off. With the powerful statement that was just made by players threatening to end the season without crowning a champion. The hater couldn’t help him/herself all over social media saying that LeBron just didn’t want to go 3-7 in the Finals.

In the moment of a powerful stance in American history the hater is still a hater. If that’s the only thing that comes out of your mouth when people are fighting for you and yours because we’re all in this thing together. You aren’t worth two dead flies to the culture or the movement. It doesn’t matter that you look like him you don’t represent the movement of pushing social justice forward. You represent pettiness, jealously and self-hatred.

It goes back to the original hustle that they pulled on black folks while in slaved in this country. If we can keep them fighting against each other and tearing each other down the division will distract them from progressing.

With the amount of work LeBron has put in to help uplift the black community over the years with his iPromise School and the scholarships he’s given along with the new initiative “More Than a Vote” to help make sure our voices are counted in November you would think he’d be off limits to such hate. However, we’re sadly mistaken.

More Than a Vote, is a group of athletes headlined by LeBron. They are launching a campaign to address poll worker shortages and the need to keep polling stations open in Black electoral districts. This man is doing this work for people that look like him that are being marginalized by this administration and the only thing the hater can do is say that he’s only worried about winning or losing a freaking championship? Really?

One hundred years from now nobody’s going to care about who won the NBA championship in 2020. However, they will be talking about those people that helped move this country forward in the midst of a crisis. When we’re celebrating the heroes of the 21st century for stepping up and stepping out on faith to uplift our race and culture. LeBron James’ name will surely come up and the hater will be dead and gone with no memory of his or her accomplishments because they had none. Why? Because they spent their entire lives hating instead of putting in work. Stop me when I start lyin’!
