Enjoy the festivities because the National Championship game will be a waste of time! “Formality”

INDIANAPOLIS — It’s finally game week in the Circle City!!! The College Football Playoff National Championship goes down in Indianapolis on January 10. The Alabama Crimson Tide bump heads again with the Georgia Bulldogs at Lucas Oil Stadium. It could be like Ali vs Frazier II or will it be a complete waste of time like the SEC Championship game was a month ago.

Georgia came in as the No.1 team in the country from the start to the finish of the regular season and got their doors blown off 41-24. Alabama took their sneakers, lunch money and whatever jewelry they had on without a fight.

So what blows my mind right now is that Alabama is coming in as the underdog coming. Is this Vegas’ way of serving Nick Saban’s team the yummy rat poison that he spoke of after they blasted Georgia the first time? It has to be!!!

No sane human being thinks that Georgia after beating Michigan in the semifinal and getting humiliated by Alabama a month ago is the favorite. How can they be? Did they get that much better beating the Wolverines?

We’re all looking at this thing together right? We saw Georgia get their transmission blown off. What’s changed in the last month?

Alabama, if nothing else, has gotten better and even more confident. Sure, the Crimson tide are down WR John Metchie III but they’ve got a stable of weapons ready to roll. No pun intended.

We saw running back Brian Robinson plow right through Cincinnati and the Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young is well…Bryce Young. And most importantly Nick Saban is Nick Saban!!

In case you forgot, Kirby Smart is 0-3 against Nick and Georgia has loss their last six against Alabama dating back to 2008. I don’t see anything changing in the title game on Monday.

Let’s just hope that Smart and Co. can find a way to at least keep us interest through three quarters.

Nick’s been at the helm in Tuscaloosa for 15 seasons and he’s won 6 national titles and 8 SEC championships. He’s been to 20 bowl games winning 15 of them in his career. What’s my point? Georgia doesn’t have a snow ball’s chance of winning this game. It’s all a matter of formality at this point.

Let’s all enjoy the festivities leading up to the game because it’ll be a complete waste of time. Stop me when I start lyin’!
