NEW ORLEANS — Everybody and their baby’s momma is leading with the headline of Alshon Jeffery taking the blame for the Eagles loss on Sunday to the Saints. Yes, we all saw ole boy drop the late pass in the fourth quarter that would eventually be picked once it slipped through his hands. Of course we did!

Here’s what he had to say after the game. “That’s on me. I’ll take that loss. It’s on me. I let my teammates down, the city of Philadelphia, that’s on me. I’ll take that.”

However, Jeffery was simply being a good teammate. If you watched the game or if you know anything about sports no one play costs a team the game and especially not this one.

The Eagles jumped out of the ride and hit the Saints with two body blows early and went up 14-0. They were in complete control of the game with 5:40 left to play in the first quarter. Then they got shook when Sean Payton and Co. hit them with a fake punt to keep a drive alive that eventually allowed them to score their first touchdown.

They went on to score 20 unanswered points to win the game. Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Alshon Jeffery wasn’t playing defense bruh!! He didn’t give up 20 points! He didn’t give up multiple first downs off of 4th and 1’s. He wasn’t out there when that foolishness was going on.

So while I appreciate his humble nature in putting the blame for the loss on his shoulders. The loss wasn’t on him. It was on the entire team for not being able to score anymore points after the initial body blows and on the defense for not being able to hold water in critical moments of the game.

Keep ya head up Alshon and keep grindin’! Stop me when I start lyin’!
