Detroit slips past Pacers 96-94 as they remain winless! “Looking for Answers”

DETROIT — The Indiana Pacers are just one of three teams in the NBA that haven’t picked up a “W” to start the season. After going to Detroit and losing a tough one 96-94 and it’s their second loss to the Pistons in less than a week. Nate McMillan and Co. are still searching for answers to pick up their first win.

Playing without Jeremy Lamb who is out with a right hip pointer made things more difficult. They’re already without their star shooting guard Victor Oladipo.

The Pistons led for most for the game until the Pacers took a four point lead late in the fourth quarter. However, Derrick Rose, who struggled from the field shooting 4 of 16 got off a left hand layup with 28.3 seconds left to put the Pistons up 95-94.

Then Pacers Malcolm Brogdon missed as Indiana came down on the other end. However, they get the rebound and TJ Warren throws up a shot like Old Lady Johnson was out there playing. Ole boy must have been looking at his own watch instead of the arena clock because he threw up some junk in a hurry.

Then Detroit’s Luke Kennard hit one of two free throws to put the Pistons up 96-94 giving the ball back to Indiana with 2 seconds remaining. Warren missed the final three-point attempt and the Pacers finish their first three games winless.

Domantos Sabonis led the Blue and Gold with 21 points and 14 rebounds followed by TJ Warren’s 19 points and Myles Turner dropping off 16. The Pacers continue to struggle to get production from it’s bench. They were limited to 18 points whereas the Pistons bench dropped off 46 points.

Andre’ Drummond did work once again on the Pacers finishing with 18 points and 18 rebounds as Luke Kennard dropped off 14 points. Up next Pacers go to Brooklyn to try to slow down Kyrie.
