Colts allowed ole trash talking Jalen Ramsey to show back up in 6-0 loss to the Jags!

JACKSONVILLE — Sir Isaac Newton’s third law of motion says that “What goes up must come down.”  The Indianapolis Colts were rolling going into Jacksonville on Sunday riding a five game winning streak and scoring the fourth most points in the league at 34.6 points per game. Then all of a sudden physics got in the way. They fell out of the sky and allowed ole dull Jacksonville to take the air out of the balloon. Jalen Ramsey and Co. completely shut Andrew Luck and Co. down beating them 6-0.

How does an offense with that much fire power get shut off by anybody? No points at all? Not one touchdown or field goal? Wheredeydodatat? To top it off they were shut down by one of the worst teams in the league this year. The Jags came into Sunday’s game 3-8 and their defense had been pitiful.

They forced two turnovers by the Colts and completely took their souls from them keeping them from scoring. Indianapolis ran 71 total plays and literally came up empty. Andrew Luck threw the football 52 times for 248 yards and the only thing he had to show for it was a dull pick. He’d thrown three or more touchdown passes in eight consecutive games which was only one game shy of a club record. So for the Jags to keep him from scoring at all was incredible.

Luck was sacked three times on Sunday after only being hit five times the entire month of November. He’d only been sacked once the previous five games.

What drove me crazy was the fact that Jalen Ramsey was talking trash again after he’s been quiet all season because he and his defensive teammates have been terrible. Ole boy held T.Y. Hilton to 8 catches for 77 yards and then made the game-ending tackle on Erik Swoope with 8 seconds remaining.

He pulled an old school “Psych!” on Andrew Luck after he offered to help him up, then pulled his had away and walked off. Now I would have been cool with that if he’d been vocal and talking trash all season but he’s only talking when they’re winning. When they’re losing he’s a church mouse. That’s a sucker move right there.

Indianapolis had multiples chances to put points on the board. They passed up two field goal tries in the first half and they didn’t the ultimate No-No when they took one successful kick off of the board. It’s water under the bridge now.

Colts go to 6-6 and looking for some help to get back into the AFC South race as they travel to Houston next week.
