Well, well, well…Ole Cincinnati has finally gotten what they’ve been asking for. A legitimate shot at the title. On Tuesday the College Football Playoff Committee finally ranked the Bearcats No.4.
Now they control their destiny. Well…that’s if everything stays the same. It is college football you know. The Georgia Bulldogs came in at No.1 followed by No.2 Ohio State, No.3 Alabama and then Cincinnati rounded out the Top 4.
My mother used to always say, “Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.” Well the Bearcats have gotten it and I’m not so sure how well things are going to turn out.
Pick one, any one of the other teams and Cincy gets their doors blown off. The only team that may not blast them by at least 35 or more points right now would be Alabama because their defense isn’t as good has they have been historically under Saban.
The Tide would only beat them by 33 points in my opinion. Unfortunately, for them they won’t meet Bama being ranked No.4. They’ll get the full brunt of Georgia.
However, the crazy this is, Bama may not even make the playoff because they’ve got to meet Georgia in the SEC title game on Dec.4. Ole Nick and company may have two losses after that one is over which would get knock them out of the Top 4 altogether.
If Cincy wins out they’ll probably move up to No.3 and unfortunately, they’ve got the best offense in America from THEE Ohio State Buckeyes. They would get their doors blown off of them.
This is big boy football playa. Not the AAC. If Cincy is fortunate enough to win and make the Playoff. They’ll be drinking out of the fire hydrant and getting embarrassed in the process. No way will they be able stop all of the weapons that will be aimed at them. Again, be careful what you ask for. Stop me when I start lyin’!
