Any NFL player with a boat load of bread in the bank shouldn’t even be considering this foolishness! “Personal Accountability”

On Sunday players from around the NFL flooded the league’s timeline with tweets about wanting to play this season but wanting to be safe in the process. Most of the tweets were accompanied by the hashtag #WeWantToPlay.

The NFL Players Association president, JC Tretter, got the ball rolling by tweeting, “What you are seeing today is our guys standing up for each other and for the work their union leadership has done to keep everyone as safe as possible. The NFL needs to listen to our union and adopt the experts’ recommendations #wewanttoplay.”

Miami Dolphins corner back Byron Jones came up with the idea on one of the players’ internal planning calls Sunday according to sources. The idea was to get the message out to the public that the players want to play. However, they want the teams to make sure it’s as safe as possible. They also want to let people know that it isn’t about players just looking out for their bread or not wanting to show up for camp.

Among the players tweeting was Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson. He wrote, “I am concerned. My wife is pregnant. @NFL Training camp is about to start. And there’s still No Clear Plan on Player Health & Family Safety. We want to play football but we also want to protect our loved ones. #WeWantToPlay”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! At some point there has to be a certain amount of personal responsibility here. I completely understand the young cat that’s barely in the league having no choice but to show up to this circus because he needs the bread and he’s trying to kick start his career. He’s young and in his mind he’s invincible. Makes sense all day to me. I get it.

However, a cat like Russell Wilson who’s sitting on plenty of bread (net worth of $115 million) and has a pregnant wife at the crib. It’s a no brainer bruh!! Why on earth would he even be considering walking out of his front door to go play football? He’s sitting on $115 million with a pregnant wife and kids and football is even a thought right now is crazy to me.

Like I’ve been saying from the jump there is no way this thing is going to work but I get boyz trying to put forth the effort. It’s a contact sport. There’s no way you can block and tackle folks while breathing on top of them and not spread a respiratory virus. It’s impossible.

Even if the NFL is trying to play at some point those that can afford to bail need to take some personal accountability for their own lives and families and chill. It doesn’t matter what the NFL is trying to do. At some point when you’ve got enough bread you’ve got to do what’s best for you and yours.

Cats with money in the bank shouldn’t even considering playing. For the young guys and those lower paid cats, I completely understand them taking the risk. However, anybody with a boat load of bread in the bank even thinking about showing up to camp is nuts!!! Just re-adjust your spending until this thing is over. Risking your life and family’s well being isn’t worth it. Stop me when I start lyin’!
