Anthony Davis wanted it more than Pacers down the stretch!

At the end of the day his name is Anthony Davis!! Spell it right and say it loud enough for Big Momma to hear it. Ole boy went to work on the Pacers as they played the make up game down in New Orleans on Wednesday night leadin’ the Pelicans pass Indiana 96-92.

He finished the night with 28 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks as he put his fingerprints all over boyz in the final minute of the game with a nasty fade away jumper to go up four points with 53 seconds left. Davis got even nastier with a put back off of a Jrue Holiday missed free throw with 15 seconds left. To put the cherry on top he knocked down two clutch boyz at the foul line with 7.6 seconds left to ice it.

In the post-game presser Pacers head coach Nate McMillan simply put like this, “Davis wanted it more.” Whelp…there isn’t too much more you can add to that playa.

When it came down to it Davis wanted it more and the Pelicans walked out of the joint with the “w.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The Pacers played great defense in this one but just couldn’t close the door or shoot the ball particularly well all night. They held New Orleans under their season average of 112 points and limited them to only 43 percent shootin’ from the field. They also forced 20 turnovers and turned them into 15 points.

However, they couldn’t hit an elephant in the butt with a bass fiddle shootin’ only 36.6 percent from the field and dismal 31.8 percent from behind the arc.

Victor Oladipo led the Pacers with 21 points and 8 rebounds as Myles Turner put up 13 points and 10 rebounds. Darren Collison dropped off 11 points and 6 assists on his way to Big Momma’s house as Trevor Booker came out of the bushes with 10 points.

The Blue and Gold slip to 41-31 on the season with this loss and are now sittin’ in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference standings behind Philly.

Up next, the Clippers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Friday night. Stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
