For more than a week haters of the Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish have been on a campaign telling folks that they weren’t worthy of being in the College Football Playoff because they got blasted by eventual champ Alabama. Let me stop you right there playa. I’m not a Notre Dame fan at all but I’ve got to come to their defense on this one.
Notre Dame got what everybody else got from Alabama this year, a beating!!! It didn’t matter who was lining up on the other side of the ball. Bama was going to dig in that tail. They beat No.3 Ohio State like a drum 52-24 after the Buckeyes sprinted through No.2 Clemson. So you can miss me with the whole “Notre Dame doesn’t belong” foolishness.
Pick one, any one! Whoever would have shown up on Monday night not wearing Crimson and Cream with a Tuscaloosa address would have been slaughtered.
Bruh…they’ve got better players than everyone else in America. It’s just that simple. Every year they have the No.1 recruiting class in America. That means that they’ve got better players. When you’ve got better players from top to bottom you’re going to dominate the rest of the field. It’s just that simple. Especially when you’ve got the best coach.
Alabama is light years ahead of everybody else. Have you ever heard the colloquialism “The Rich Get Richer?” Well…that’s Alabama. They win this year and they get all of the best players coming out of high school this year to reload for the next few years to come and it keeps on happening.
Let’s just look at what would be their senior class this year. The 2017 recruiting class has 10 NFL draft picks with only one going in the 2nd round so far. Not 10 guys that either got drafted through the 7 rounds or will potentially make an NFL roster through free agency. They’ve either been drafted or will be drafted this spring. Oh and I forgot to mention that they’ve got a dun that just won the freakin’ Heisman Trophy.
A typical recruiting class has anywhere from 20 to 25 players. Half of that class alone will be draft picks in the 1st round. That’s just one class!!! But you’re telling me that because Notre Dame got worked over that they aren’t worthy of being in the Playoff? You sound crazy!!
Listen to the names of the guys that all came in together. They had Nahjee Harris (potential 1st rounder), Jerry Judy (2020 1st round Denver Broncos), Henry Ruggs III (2020 1st round Las Vegas Raiders), Devonta Smith (Heisman Trophy winner and 2021 1st rounder), Tua Tagovailoa (2020 1st Round Miami Dolphins), Alex Leatherwood (potential 2021 1st rounder), Dylan Moses (2021 potential 1st rounder), Xavier McKinney (2020 2nd round pick), Mac Jones (2020 potential 1st round pick) and Jedrick Wills, Jr.(2020 1st round pick).
Nobody is doing what Bama is doing consistently. NOBODY!!! So stop the Notre Dame hate for crying out loud. Alabama is going to have its way until Saban retires or some fool sabotages the program. Stop me when I start lyin’!
