CHAMPIONSIP, USA — Well playas…all four teams have arrived at their respective college football playoff semi-finals locations. On Sunday the Oklahoma Sooners touched down in Miami and the Alabama Crimson Tide followed on Monday. Both Clemson and Notre Dame made their way to Dallas on Monday for the business trip as well.
Everybody and their baby’s momma is zoned in for the appointment with destiny on Saturday. I’ve been saying since the match-ups were announced that Oklahoma and Notre Dame would win their respective semi-final game and play for the championsip.
On Monday duns from both Alabama and Clemson proved that they aren’t as focused as they need to be in preparation for these games. Clemson’s gotten so comfortable that they had three cats flunk the drug test including starting defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence. The other two were backup offensive lineman Zack Giella and freshman tighten Braden Galloway. They all had a “silver” substance in their sample so Dabo Swinney and Co. are waiting for the B-sample to come back to determine whether they’ll be eligible to play on Saturday or not. The B-sample is a re-test of the same sample to make sure there wasn’t a false positive. That should be back by Wednesday or Thursday.
Alabama will definitely be without starting offensive lineman Deonte Brown and reserve OL Elliot Baker and tight end Kendrick James. They all were suspended and did not make the trip to Miami because of a violation of team rules.
Both Alabama and Clemson have gotten so comfortable with playing for championships that they’re skirt is showing. Meaning that boyz are getting sloppy and putting everybody in jeopardy of coming up short. One thing you didn’t see is Oklahoma or Notre Dame having players suspended or flunking drug tests. Why? Because everybody’s zoned in.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I told you darn near a month ago that OU would beat Alabama not because they would have guys being sloppy and getting suspended but because OU has beaten Bama the last three times they’ve played. Alabama can’t play Big 12 football and OU always forces them to do that.
What’s Big 12 Football? It’s being forced to score a ton of points just to win. Bama isn’t built to score like that. Sure, they were averaging 50 plus points per game for most of the season but they weren’t playing anybody. When they finally showed up to play some good teams (Georgia and LSU) they scored 35 and 29 points.
In order to beat Oklahoma they’ve gotta score 50 points just to win by one. Why? Because OU is going to score 49. Everybody keeps screaming that they don’t play any defense. Well that’s exactly right playa they don’t, but they’ve never played any defense. They’ll just outscore you to death. The question is, can Bama be focused enough to score 50 points when they’ve already shown up to Miami with cats suspended for not being focused in the first place.
Let’s put it where the goats can get it. We don’t know how good Clemson is because they’ve played in the awful ACC this year. Yes, they’ve been blowing everybody out but they haven’t played a single team all year. I’ve seen Notre Dame several times this year and they are very athletic with crazy talent at the wide receiver, quarterback and running back positions. Don’t count them out because they’re going to beat Clemson on Saturday because of their athleticism and their ability to show up with EVERYBODY clean and ready to play. Stop me when I start lyin’!
