Why the Pacers would be better off tradin’ Paul George! “Watchin’ vs. Listenin'”

It is what it is bruh! (AP Photo/Kamil Krzaczynski)

With the trade deadline starin’ a boy in the face on February 23 the Indiana Pacers seem to be willin’ to give up their first round draft pick for some immediate help for Paul George. Here’s  the deal bruh, PG can opt out at the end of the 2017-18 season. So if these duns don’t get him some help to put them in a position to compete in the East I can almost guarantee you that he won’t sign an extension with Indiana. Why? Because it’s Indiana!!

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I’ve been tellin’ boyz for years that Indiana isn’t a destination spot for big time free agents. Not because the fans don’t love basketball but because it’s freakin’ Indiana!! There nothin’ appealin’ about Indianapolis for a young rich cat and let’s keep it 1000 on a boy. Seventy percent of the duns we’re talkin’ about would be some young rich black kid. Indiana isn’t appealin’ to him. Not when he can go to Chicago, LA, Miami, Charlotte, Atlanta, etc. That’s just real talk.

I’m not knockin’ Indiana bruh! I’m from Gary, Indiana but if I were young and extremely rich I wouldn’t be here either. It’s just what it is playa. There’s nothin’ in Indiana that will make a boy want to voluntarily come here because if it were, they would have already done it and they would already be here.

So therefore, the only way the Pacers are goin’ to build a consistent winner is through the draft and trades. They’ll never win a championship because you need multiple superstars to do that and they can’t get one to show up let alone two or three. Nobody is standin’ in line to come to Indiana. Not gonna happen! When they were NUTS in the late ’90’s led by Reggie Miller  he was drafted to Indiana bruh, He didn’t show up talkin’ about “Can I run?” Naw playa, it was a blessin’ that he decided to play his entire career here and they were able to build around him.

Unfortunately, that isn’t goin’ to happen with PG. If they don’t get him some help he’s sprintin’ out of this joint like Usain Bolt. Why? Because it’s 2017 and free agency is at it’s peak. He’s seen boyz dip for greener pastures and become successful. Just in case you forgot, he’s from Palmdale, California which is just outside LA. And just in case you forgot, Young Russ is from LA! PG’s a free agent next summer and Young Russ the followin’ summer an the Lakers are trash right now. Magic Johnson just showed up to be a consultant for the team and you already know what the conversation is. Rebuild a winner in LA.

Paul George isn’t a franchise player. He’s a very good player that would love to play with a franchise player. How do I know that? Because I’ve been coverin’ the dun since he came into the league. His temperament says that he’d rather be the dun in the passenger seat than the dun drivin’. I don’t care what he says. Big Momma always said, “Don’t listen to people, just watch them.”

You can tell PG doesn’t like the pressure of carryin’ a team because the dun will disappear on you in a minute in a big game down the stretch. Oh I’m lyin’? Game 5 of the Toronto series last season.

It’s cool bein’ Robin runnin’ with Batman because when they mention Batman they always mention Robin too. When boyz talk about the great Bulls teams of the ’90’s what do they always say? Jordan and Pippen. Nobody ever says just Jordan when they are talkin’ about those teams.

To be quite honest with you, it doesn’t matter what the Pacers do by the trade deadline. Paul George is outta here at the end of the 2017-18 season. Why? Because it’s Indiana! Gone are the days when a boy will get drafted and play their entire career in one spot. The only way the Pacers will keep ole boy is if they give him a MONSTER TRUCK LOAD of bread that nobody else can offer him and that still may not keep him.

So guess what playa? They’ll be better off tradin’ him than lettin’ him just walk away and gettin’ nothin’ for him. Stop me when I start lyin’!
