Jim Harbaugh SHOULD be paid more than ALL professors! “Bottom Line”

"Huh? Talkin' bout me?"

Frederick The Great, the King of Prussia, once said, “My people and I have come to an agreement which satisfied us both. They are to say what they please, and I am to do what I please.” Jimmy Carter broke it down like this, “Unless both sides win, no agreement can be permanent.” Then Eldridge Cleaver kept it simple for a boy when he shouted, “Too much agreement kills a chat.”

Well playas…I’m in complete agreement that Jim Harbaugh should be gettin’ top dollar from the University of Michigan. On Wednesday USA Today released it’s annual survey on college football coaches’ salaries and ole boy was at the top of the list hittin’ the Wolverines up for $9 million!

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If you ask me, he’s probably not bein’ paid enough bruh! In my opinion, I think that big time college football coaches SHOULD be paid  like big time CEO’s runnin’ major corporations. Why? Because they are. In the background all I hear are duns hollerin’, “What about the professors that teach our children? Theses schools should be ashamed of themselves for payin’ football coaches that type of money.”

Oh, here we go on the plight of the teacher not bein’ compensated for the outstandin’ work that they do in the classroom. I completely agree that they have been under valued and under appreciated. However, I don’t believe that they should be paid more than people that have a direct impact on generating revenues.  I strongly agree that they impact our children’s lives and help build the future leaders of this country but I always ask the question, “Where will the money come from to pay them bruh?” Teachers are paid with federal and state funding. For all of you simple minded individuals, that means with tax dollars. If people aren’t willin’ to pay higher taxes, then teachers can’t get higher salaries. It’s just that simple playboy.

What boyz don’t realize is that the head football coach at a major institution is literally a CEO of a MAJOR corporation. Winnin’ programs generate millions of dollars every year, not to mention, the millions in alumni donations that come in as a result of the team consistently winnin’. However, in order to win at the level that the university needs to compete, they’ve got to pay the head coach at the level that his colleagues are bein’ paid in order to keep him. That’s why Michigan doesn’t have a problem hittin’ Harbaugh with a direct deposit of $9 million right now.

Alabama is payin’ Saban $6.9 million, Ohio State is givin’ Urban Myer $6M, Oklahoma to Bob Stoops $5.5M and Florida State is runnin’ a clean $5M to Jimbo Fisher.

I pulled up some numbers to give you an idea of what these schools are doin’ financially here from just the athletic programs. Here are the top seven revenue producin’ programs in the country:

  1. Texas A&M Aggies: $192,608,876
  2. Texas Longhorns: $183,521,028
  3. Ohio State Buckeyes: $167,166,065
  4. Michigan Wolverines: $152,477,026
  5. Alabama Crimson Tide: $148,911,674
  6. Florida Gators: $147,105,242
  7. LSU Tigers:  $138,642,237

And YES PLAYBOY THOSE ARE MILLIONS!!!

So once again,  I respect the job that teachers do all over this country because my mother was a retired school teacher and my sister is currently a middle school teacher. However, just because the professor and the coach work at the same university doesn’t mean that they should be judged by the same standard. They serve completely different roles and are paid out of two different baskets of money. By the way, when the professor lectures on Friday there won’t be 100,000 people payin an average of $95.00 per ticket to see him or her do their job. It also won’t be televised with sponsors payin’ top dollar to advertise their products and the final exam doesn’t pay the school $17 million (big time bowl game win or lose) at the end of the semester.

Put it where the goats can get it. People don’t spend money at the local restaurants and hotels all weekend and buy items in the bookstore when the professors show up to do their jobs. We have to begin to understand that sports is a multi-million dollar business on these college campuses and the head coaches are the conductors of those trains. Football and basketball are responsible for the all of the new growth on campus, new buildings, increased enrollment etc. Studies have shown that when a universities athletic programs are successful, it has a direct impact on admissions. The ENTIRE university will benefit from multi-million dollars investment of a great football or basketball coach.  Professors can come and go and it won’t make a bit of difference to the bottom line bruh. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Spit: verb – to say

2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

3) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.
