Why what Geno is doin’ is far greater than what John Wooden did. “Skewed”

“You already know what you can do right?”

Mark Twain once said, “All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.” Martin Luther King Jr. gave it to us like this, “Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” Then Confucius poured out a little liquor for all the dead homies when he spit, “Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.”

Well playas…some of these fake media-types will have a boy fooled until they actually say or write something. Why? Because they don’t know many times the extent of their own ignorance because somebody actually hired them. On Saturday Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy tweeted, UConn Women beat Miss St. 98-38 in NCAA tourney. Hate to punish them for being great, but they are killing women’s game. Watch? No thanks”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This is a freakin’ columnist for a major newspaper bruh! Really? Now don’t get it twisted, I could give two dead flies smashed about women’s college basketball or women’s basketball in general. However, what Geno Auriemma and Co. are doin’ is unbelievable. They’re literally beatin’ the brakes of boyz with no remorse! Now whether you wanna watch it or not what he’s doin’ is amazin’!

We’ve haven’t seen this type of dominance in any sport since John Wooden’s UCLA run. But this is even more remarkable because the playin’ field isn’t skewed. C’mon bruh! When Wooden was rollin’ at UCLA most major programs in the country still weren’t allowin’ blacks the opportunity to attend their universities. Sure, UCLA had brothers but not every school they played had them or the best of the best. Especially durin’ their runs in the mid to late 1960’s because most schools were still trippin’ on race and were to a large degree still segregated. Most of the best black players were still playin’ at HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) or smaller schools. California was way ahead of the curve when it came to people bein’ treated equally than in most parts of America at the time.

Now I’m not sayin’ that Wooden had all of the black players bruh. What I’m sayin’ is that there were very few programs that had a roster full of them. So if 70 percent of the best players walkin’ around are black and they’re not competin’ against you then it’s it’s skewed. Why? Because you aren’t competin’ against the best players black or white every night. Don’t argue that playa. More than 70 percent of college and pro basketball players are black and when John Wooden was rollin’ that wasn’t the case. But black folks were playin’ basketball somewhere. Then when you throw that off of the table UCLA had Lou Alcindor (Kareem) who was the best college basketball player probably ever that was freakin’ 7 feet tall and then two years later they got Bill Walton who was 7 feet too!!! And they had them both for 4 years each!!! Not playin’ against the talent the entire talent pool.

It’s like boyz tellin’ me that Babe Ruth was the best to ever play when he didn’t play against the best black and Latino players alive at that time. The talent pool was somewhere else. The Negro League and in those Latin countries. Not Major League Baseball. Stop it! You sound crazy!!

Geno doesn’t have that to his advantage! Everybody can recruit everybody these days playa. He’s just kickin’ everybody’s butt in the recruitin’ game and he’s out coachin’ EVERYBODY. So what he’s doin’ is nothn’ short of remarkable and for a dun in the press to hate on him for winnin’ is a complete sucka move.

For a boy to even make that type of remark tells you everything you wanna know about this dun. From the gate it tells you that he’s NEVER played a lick of organized sports in his life. Why? Because if he had, his mind never would have gone there. He would have understood just how difficult it actually is to be that dominant. Over the past 15 years UConn has won 9 of their 10 national titles and they’re beatin’ the brakes off of boyz now on their way to their fourth straight. Only a hater would knock them for that bruh!

So when you hear these cats discountin’ greatness and they’re supposed to be sports writers. How much credibility do you really give them? Stop me when I start lyin’!
