Bruh…we’ve sat through like 17 bowl games so far and they’ve all been trash but probably three. The Gildan New Mexico Bowl with Marshall beatin’ Colorado State 31-28 was probably the only one worth watchin’. Who’s been the geniuses puttin’ these match ups together and who’s doin’ the marketin’ in the local areas for these bowls?
If I’ve seen one bowl with 25 people in the stands I’ve seen 17!!! I watched the Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl on Tuesday and I literally could have lined up at tailback if I’d given them $35. There wasn’t a soul in the stadium outside of the duns playin’ and coachin’! It’s TEXAS for cryin’ out loud!!!!! What’s the freakin’ point bruh?
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Why on earth would the bowl organizers invite Utah and West Virginia to play in Dallas in the dead of winter durin’ the holidays? Do you realize how far that is for those particular fan bases to drive or fly to see two teams that they wouldn’t drive an hour to see durin’ the regular season? They’re both middle of the road teams.
So do you mean to tell me that you couldn’t find two other trash teams that were closer to Dallas to invite? C’mon bruh! It makes no sense at all. Then if you couldn’t sell the joint out start givin’ the tickets away to little league football and basketball teams in the area, senior citizens homes and schools. They weren’t makin’ any money anyway so give the tickets that you couldn’t sell away.
As a television viewer, if I turn the TV on and the joint is packed I’m more inclined to watch it than not. If there’s nobody at the darn game I’m probably goin’ to keep surfin’ the channels. So guess what? Zaxby’s or whoever else is sponsorin’ the game doesn’t get the marketin’ return that they were lookin’ for by sponsorin’ the stupid game in the first place.
Again, who are the geniuses puttin’ this foolishness together? You’ve got terrible teams playin’ each other from opposite ends of the country and you can’t even give the tickets away.
I’ve covered the WNBA Finals before and they were literally givin’ tickets away in the local area to pack the arena. Why? Because you can’t have a Finals game in a half empty arena. It doesn’t look good on TV and it turns away future sponsors.
Why would anybody with good sense sponsor the Heart of Dallas Bowl or the BooBoo Toilet Bowl ever again if there’s only 10 people at the game? Stop me when I start lyin’!
1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.
The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
