Why the WNBA is hypocritical in it’s thinkin’ by fining teams and players! “Blacked Out”

Members of the New York Liberty basketball team stand during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner prior to a game against the Atlanta Dream, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in New York. Between the Black Lives Matter movement, the Orlando shooting and the LGBT community, more WNBA players have been taking active roles in expressing their views on social issues. In the midst of “Camp Day” at the New York Liberty's mid-morning game Wednesday, Liberty players stood in solidarity as they donned all-black warmups in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Andrew Vachss, the famous actor, once said, “Fighting means you could lose. Bullying means you can’t. A bully wants to beat somebody; he doesn’t want to fight somebody.” Shay Mitchell, the Canadian actress, gave it to us like this, “I realized that bullying never has to do with you. It’s the bully who’s insecure.” Then Lady Starlight, the singer, broke it down so that it would forever be broken when she spit, “Any kind of restrictions put on free speech would have worse consequences than bullying.”

Well playas…the WNBA has the nerve to do just that bruh! They’ve put a huge restriction on their team’s and player’s freedom of speech by finin’ a boy or in this particular case, a girl for speakin’ up about the recent shootings of both black men and police officers alike. The league has now fined the New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury and Indiana Fever for wearin’ all black warm up shirts even though they are made by Adidas, the official outfitter of the league.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The WNBA hollers out of one side of their necks that they want their players to be active in their communities and use their platforms to make a difference. Then out of the other side they tell a boy not to get involved with issues that make people uncomfortable. Well playboy, welcome to the world I live in! Folks that look like me have been uncomfortable for more than 350 years around this piece bruh!

Don’t give players a platform and then tell them not to use it and by finin’ them that’s exactly what you’re doin’!! The league hit the teams for $5,000 then turned around and hit the players for $500 apiece!! The average salary in the WNBA is only $72K bruh! The minimum rookie salary is like $38K and the max veteran joint is $108K. Even the duns at the top of the pay scale that are makin’ the 100 stacks can’t afford to give a boy $500 every time they wear a shirt! That’s crazy!! So guess what pimpin’, you win!

Duns in the NBA can afford to pay ridiculous fines like $25K for complainin’ about the refs etc. Paul George can give a boy that type of bread because he’s got a guaranteed boy for $90 million. You can’t expect a player that’s only makin’ on average $72K to come out of $500 every time they rock a shirt speak out against some foolishness that should be spoken out against.

Yeah and I know what the policy says about bein’ out of uniform but sometimes bein’ out of uniform has it’s place. Let me put it where the goats can get. Duns are out of uniform when NFL teams are bringin’ awareness to Breast Cancer Awareness when everybody and their baby’s momma’s momma are rockin’ pink in October. So don’t tell me about policy. Policies can be changed or altered for the good of the cause. NOBODY is watchin’ the WNBA so this can bring more eyeballs to the game or are you so blind that you can’t see that?

Don’t tell me about a boy stayin’ in compliance! Tell me about doin’ the right thing and givin’ your players an opportunity to express themselves durin’ this very stressful time in American history. Tell me about supportin’ your communities and bein’ in tune with the sufferin’ that folks are dealin’ with.

Be a catalyst for change and not a hinderance to it bruh. Be on the forefront of social change and don’t hide in the ride waitin’ for somebody else to do it. Believe it or not WNBA, your players both black and white are affected by this foolishness just like everybody in the communities you play in.

Now if boyz are gonna keep it all the way 100 these NBA cats need to step up and pay the fines for these ladies! That’s if they really wanna make a difference. I’m just sayin’ and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Spit: verb – to say

2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

3) Boy: noun – anybody whether it’s male or female, anything bruh it doesn’t matter what I’m talkin’ about. Understand this playa, some words have dual meanings. Whatever noun I’m talkin’ about could be a boy. Got it? Good.

4) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.
