Why the Indiana basketball program has been in shambles for almost 30 years!

"A Hot Mess!"

Well playas, the ole dull Indiana Hoosiers made the NIT, decided that it wasn’t a good idea to play at home, went to Atlanta, got beat and came home. They played Georgia Tech at their crib and got embarrassed 75-63 in a tournament that the Jackie Robinson Little League All-Stars could have won. Now every other relevant program in the state of Indiana is preparin’ to play this week but the so-called powerhouse down in Bloomington. Notre Dame, Butler and Purdue are all about to lace them up and IU is sittin’ in a room butt naked talkin’ to themselves.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Nobody wants to admit it but the Indiana basketball program is in shambles and it’s been in shambles for darn near 30 years!!! Why? Because REAL ball players don’t want to play there. It’s as simple as that. The state of Indiana has the THE BEST HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL in the country with the best players overall EVERY year and they don’t want to play in Bloomington.

Oh I’m talkin’ crazy? Sit down and check out this list of duns that grew up in the state of Indiana that shot spit balls at IU, signed with other programs and have gone to the league since 1988: Rick Fox (UNC), Glenn Robinson (Purdue, POY), all three of the Plumlee brothers, Mason, Miles and Marshall (Duke), they missed on two of the Zeller brothers, Tyler and Luke (UNC and ND), Rodney Carney (Memphis), Josh McRoberts (Duke), Zach Randolph (Michigan State), Greg Oden (OSU), Mike Conley (OSU), George Hill (IUPUI), Shawn Kemp (UK, JUCO), Sean May (UNC), Jeff and Marquis Teague (Wake Forest and UK) Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky), Eric Montross (UNC), Luke Harongody (ND), Robbie Hummel, E’Twan Moore and JaJuan Johnson (Purdue), Gordon Hayward (Butler), Gary Harris (Michigan State) Glenn Robinson III (Michigan), Mitch McGary (Michigan) and Trey Lyles (Kentucky)!! And that’s just up through the 2015 NBA draft bruh! And I know that I’m missin’ another 7 or 8 cats but these are off the top of my head.

There are two cats still ballin’ at the college level playin’ in the NCAA Tournament this week from the state that didn’t even fart IU’s way. Zak Irvin at Michigan is from Fishers and Trevon Bluiett at Xavier is from Indy!!

This year Indianapolis North Central’s Kris Wilkes decided that he’d rather play at UCLA next year than play 45 minutes down the road at IU. Somebody’s gotta understand that Bloomington isn’t a place where ball players want to play, black or white. And until the powers that be are willin’ to address that issue then they’ll keep lookin’ a hot mess and not makin’ the tournament. And even when they do, they’ll keep gettin’ beat up in the locker room before it even starts.

No way should they be losin’ EVERY big time recruit that comes out of the state EVERY year! The only reason that they were able to sign Eric Gordon was because of Kelvin Sampson, who they ran out of town for text messagin’ recruits, was able to change his mind. The NCAA violation that they used as their excuse to fire him isn’t even a violation any more and it was nothin’ more than a boy j-walkin’ at the time.

You heard all of these duns screamin’ about how he ruined the program when he was turnin’ the joint around. The good ole boyz in southern Indiana just didn’t want him down there. Let’s keep it real! And don’t tell me that he brought in bad influences with boyz smokin’ weed like you didn’t see Bobby Knight let a boy play his entire career at IU and once he got to the league couldn’t pass the drug test o the first rip.

Indiana has to look itself in the mirror and own it bruh. There is a reason why NOBODY that’s worth two dead flies smashed wants to play at IU.

It’s not the most invitin’ place in the world for black students and a dun with options sure isn’t standin’ in line to go. For years they refused to recruit brothas from Urban America and you can’t win with a team full of suburbanites. The white players that are off the charts good want to win. So they aren’t goin’ to Bloomington either.

Any kid that’s good enough to play Division I basketball wants to play somewhere that they can at least make the NCAA Tournament. IU just got beat in the openin’ game of the freakin’ NIT! Nobody that’s worth his weight in basketballs is tryin’ to go to Indiana.

Cats will go to Iowa State, VCU, Va Tech, Gonzaga, Winthrop and Wichita State before they go to IU these days. Why? Because they’ll get to play in the NCAA Tournament! Goin’ to Bloomington doesn’t even guarantee that anymore.

Now it’s up to the powers that be to figure out how to fix the problem and start gettin’ the BEST players from it’s own state to stay at home.  Stop me when I start lyin’!
