Sigmund Freud once said, “The first human who hurled an insult instead of a stone was the founder of civilization.” Junius broke it down like this, “Oppression is more easily endured than insult.” Then William F. Buckley Jr. shut the buildin’ down when he spit, “I won’t insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said.”
Well playas…Terry Bradshaw was talkin’ to hear himself talk last week while he was on Fox Sports 1. He sure couldn’t have believed what he was sayin’. Ole boy was on the show “Speak For Yourself” last week and took some shots at Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin by sayin’ “that he wasn’t a great coach at all. He’s a nice coach. To me, I’ve said this, he’s really a great cheerleader guy. I don’t know what he does. I don’t think he is a great coach at all. His name never even pops up in my mind when we think about great coaches in the NFL.”
Now I guess ole Bradshaw thought that he was dealin’ with some young punk that was goin’ to just let an old man talk. But Tomlin let a boy know real quick where he was from. At his news conference on Tuesday he fired back with this, “Terms like ‘cheerleader guy,’ to me, maybe fall outside of bounds of critique or criticism. They probably fall more toward the area of disrespect and unprofessional. But what do I know? I grew up a Dallas fan. Particularly a [Thomas] ‘Hollywood’ Henderson fan.”
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! For all of you cats that aren’t old enough to remember the old Cowboys/Steelers rivalry of the 1970’s let me put it where the goats can get it. Hollywood Henderson used to talk about how dumb Terry Bradshaw was and he once told the media that Bradshaw “couldn’t spell “Cat” if he spotted him the C and the A.”
By sayin’ that he was simply “backin’ a boy up off of him.” In layman’s terms that’s lettin’ a boy know not to come for him. He was tellin’ Bradshaw to stay in his lane. “You don’t won’t none of me playa because we can really go there it we need to.”
What Bradshaw doesn’t realize is that cats like Tomlin grew up (Hampton, Va.) understandin’ how to back boyz up off of him! That’s a matter of survival in the ghetto playboy. So Mike can do this all day everyday. How do you wanna do it?
I bet Bradshaw will stay in his lane for now on bruh! Stop me when I start lyin’!
1) Spit: verb – to say
2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
3) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.
The caption under the photo isn’t real but its REAL talk!
