Sam Walton once said, “Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it’s amazing what they can accomplish.” Harry S. Truman gave it to us like this, “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” Then Broadway Joe Namath broke it down like a playa at a pimp convention rockin’ a full length mink coat with some purple gators on when he spit, “When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.”
Well playas…who’s playin’ with more confidence in the NBA than Young Russ right now? This dun is outta control averagin’ a triple double into December in the National Basketball Association!!! Not the Brother’s Keepers Recreation League!! This cat is destroyin’ it in the best league in the world!!! He’s the first player to average a triple double this late into the season since the Big O!!! On Wednesday night he knocked down his fourth straight triple double against the dull Wizards in an overtime thriller in which his Thunder won 126-115. He finished with 35 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Russell Westbrook is on a mission to prove to boyz that he’s not the problem that most cats thought he was in the KD relationship. Say what you wanna say but he’s ballin’! Like I’ve written in the past, Young Russ has always needed to have his own team. He’s a superstar and unfortunately, superstars need to be drivin’ at all times. You can’t ask them to sit in the passenger seat and play with the radio.
As long as he was switchin’ seats with KD every second or third night he wasn’t goin’ to be able to play to his potential. Now he’s got complete control of the ride and he can drive. Now that he has the rock in his hands he can decide where it goes and to whom. By bein’ able to do that he’s more comfortable and by bein’ more comfortable he’s able to ball out.
Think about it bruh, the Beard, KD and Young Russ all played on the same team at one point and they all needed to separate to grow. The Beard is goin’ crazy in Houston and it was the best move for him. He’s scorin’ crazy points and gettin’ ignorant bread from the Rockets and Adidas. If he’d stayed in OKC none of that would have been possible. KD is goin’ nuts in Golden State right now and whether you boyz wanna realize it or not, that’s KD’s team now playa. Steph Curry has been figured out and he’s proven that he’s not a complete player. We’ve seen that in the past two Finals when the dun completely disappeared. Sit in the cut and wait on it. As the season progresses you’ll see just who’s team it really is. At some point Steph will have to pull a D. Wade and admit that KD is drivin’! And Young Russ is ballin’ because , well, he’s drivin’ now.
Now the question is, can the dun (Young Russ) keep up this pace? Who cares? It’s entertainin’ for the time bein’! Boyz are askin’ the question can he win a championship? Not with the role players that he has but it’s fun to watch him go NUTS every night! I love this game and watchin’ boyz ball out of the control! Stop me when I start lyin!
