And did I mention that he’s the only cat to have won 3 Olympic Gold Medals shootin’ hoop for the US? Well I just did playboy. However, all of these fake media-types have been on the radio and TV clownin’ him for gettin’ emotional when he told boyz that he was done with the Olympics! They had the nerve to be dismissive of this accomplishment because he hasn’t won an NBA championship.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! STOP HATIN’ BRUH!! Everybody isn’t goin’ to win a championship!!! You’ve got to be on the right TEAM to win an NBA title! That means you’ve got to have role players a decent coach and a whole lot of luck. Boyz wanna act like every great player is supposed to win a title. Unless a boy is on the right team he’s not winnin’, in my Bernie Mac voice, “Notin’! Notin’!” I don’t care how good he is.
The great Michael Jeffery Jordan didn’t win anything until the Bulls got him some help and a coach bruh! He was a MONSTER early in his career but he couldn’t win because he had no help!! Duns like Charles Barkley, Elgin Baylor, Karl Malone, Pat Ewing and John Stockton were ALL beasts but they didn’t play on the right TEAMS or the right organizations! I wrote a crazy Hot Joint entitled “The Firm” that simply broke down why players don’t win championships, organizations do.
Carmelo plays for the darn Knicks bruh! He’s not winnin’ a title but he’s still a Hall of Famer! Why? Because he’s one of the greatest basketball players to EVER play the game. Yeah, I know that he doesn’t play an ounce of defense but he’s a beast shootin’ the rock. Think about all of the duns that have played this game. Melo has contributed to the legacy of this game like crazy. He’s won 3 Gold Medals and he’s the All-Time leader in both scorin’ and reboundin’! That’s contributes to the legacy of American basketball whether you think it’s a big deal or not. He’s also a 9 time All-Star! He’s won a scorin’ title and an NCAA championship as a freshman!
Carmelo is playin’ basketball!!! And again, EVERYBODY isn’t winnin’ an NBA championship. This is as good as it’s gonna get for Melo. So why wouldn’t he relish in it? Some cats have gotten lucky with who they’ve been able to play for and with.
Do you really think that Mike would have won 6 titles without Scottie or Phil or Rodman and playin’ in Washington? We already saw what he was able to do without them. What if MJ had been stuck with Doug Collins as his coach for his entire career? Jordan never made it out of the first round of the playoffs until Pippen came to town and ne ver made it to the Finals until Phil got in the car.
