Kaepernick’s tactics are no different than MLK and Ali’s bruh! “Students & Scholars”

Arnold Glasow, business and humorist, once said, “A good leader takes a little more than his share of the blame, a little less than his share of the credit.” John C. Maxwell, the sports commentator, gave it to us like this, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” Then John Quincy Adams broke it down like a playa at a pimp convention when he spit, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”

Well playas…Colin Kaepernick’s actions have inspired others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more since he decided not to stand up for the National Anthem last week. I’ll say that makes him a leader playboy!! On Thursday night before his 49ers played the San Diego Chargers he along with teammate Eric Reid show that leadership by kneelin’ for the National Anthem. Not only did those two sit a boy out but Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane took a seat too. When asked if he’s prepared to take the heat for his actions. Ole boy responded, “Yeah, I am prepared for it. And I don’t mean no disrespect to anybody, but I’m just standing behind what I believe in.” Keep in mind that he didn’t tell any of his teammates that he was goin’ to join Kaep in the protest.

So you already know boyz had to ask ole Richard Sherman what his thoughts were and he kept it 100 by sayin’, “Any time you stand up against the flag, it’s going to be perceived something. Obviously Jeremy doesn’t stand against those who sacrifice for this country or anything like that. He obviously understands the guys who have made the greatest sacrifice for our country and our freedom, but he also understands the oppression that our country has put African Americans and minorities through for years. So yeah, I think that is something that they are trying to get recognized and looking for people to make a change too. Even with all of this, you are getting African American veterans reaching out and saying that they have been discriminated against even in the service, so I think this discussion that Colin started is going to evolve into something deeper.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I told you boyz when Kaep first sat down on boy that other players would be joinin’ in real quick in the Hot Joint entitled “Tip!” I went on to explain to you cats in that joint that the media is underestimatin’ the power of the black pro athlete and they’re about to show you just how much power they actually have.  Let this foolishness continue into the NBA season and you’ll really see what I mean. Why? Because all NBA contracts are GUARANTEED bruh! So for a boy to sit down and protest will be nothin’ because they aren’t like the Olympians that NEED endorsement money to survive. This ain’t Ryan Lochte playboy!

You already know that leagues, both football and basketball, that are more than 70 percent black aren’t goin’ to let a dun take the heat for protestin’ something that 90 percent of them feel the same way about. Not in this world bruh!!!

More often than not black folks from all walks of life have experienced the foolishness of blatant racism as well as that of institution racism. However, the average Joe doesn’t have a platform to express his thoughts. That’s why for years I have written extensively on “Why I’ve got NO Respect for Michael Jordan.”

He’s the most influential black man on the planet because of  the GOAT status that boyz wanna put him on (argument for another day bruh) and the Jordan Brand. Look up the numbers playa. Jordan’s got more influence over young people of all nationalities and ethnicities  than anyone alive. For 32 years that dun has sat in the cut with his head in the sand with cats like Tiger Woods and stood up for nothin’ concernin’ people that look just like him for bein’ mistreated in this country. And please don’t tell me about the foolishness of him releasin’ a statement from a publicist and throwin’ $2 million out of the car window to never take a stance at all a month or so ago. He split the baby in half and kept it movin’!

Showin’ up 32 years late is like a dead beat dad showin’ up at his daughter’s weddin’ with a new car as a gift. Too late pimpin’! Like 32 years too late!!

What Kaep is doin’ is love bruh! He’s created a dialog where duns that were simply students and not scholars are now lookin’ up information about the freakin’ Star Spangled Banner!!! Oh, you didn’t know that there was a difference between bein’ a student and a scholar bruh?

Well let me put it where the goats can get it for you. A student simply absorbs the information presented to them and robotically regurgitates it on command. A scholar absorbs that same information, tests the validity of it and uses it for it’s rightful purpose. So when duns try to tell you that Kaep was bein’ un-American by sittin’ down on the National Anthem they were the students in the class bruh. They still believe that Christopher Columbus discovered America and that July 4th is Independence Day for black folks too. Here’s a piece of information for you my dude. On July 4th, 1776 everybody that looks like me and Kaep were slaves.

Colin was the scholar because he understands that to protest is to have freedom of speech. To have a freedom of speech is to truly be American.

All change that has occurred in this country has only come through protest bruh! And when a boy protests, duns that want the status quo get upset. Duns that want the status quo are the ones that are comfortable because the problems that Kaep is addressin’ doesn’t live at their address or in their neighborhood. There wasn’t a heroin epidemic when it was only in my neighborhood in the 1970’s and ’80’s. It’s only a problem now because the suburbs and rural America are dealin’ with it.

Martin Luther King Jr. wasn’t some cat that mainstream America liked! He was the most hated man in America at the time he was assassinated. He was the cat that started all of the trouble accordin’ to folks that were comfortable. That’s why he didn’t live to see 40 bruh!! Muhammed Ali was just as hated because he stood up for what he believed in. He told a boy straight up that he wasn’t goin’ to the Vietnam War. People despised him for that. Boyz didn’t start lovin’ him and callin’ him the GREATEST until he could no longer speak publicly. Kaep is simply followin’ the lead of boyz like Kareem, Jim Brown, Ali and yes MLK. He’s followin’ their blueprint and it’s workin’ like a charm.

Kaep is raisin’ your awareness of what it actually means to be an American and be free. Now you can be a sucka and hate him or you can learn what it means to live up to the true American ideals of Freedom and Equally for EVERYONE!!
