Aristotle once said, “The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal.” Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani activist for female education, gave it to us like this, “There should be no discrimination against languages people speak, skin color, or religion.” Then Monica Crowley, the columnist and political commentator, broke it down like a playa in a Sedan de Ville in the middle of the projects rockin’ a full length mink coat when she spit, “True equality means holding everyone accountable in the same way, regardless of race, gender, faith, ethnicity – or political ideology.”
Well playas…if that were the case the dun that shot and killed former NFL running back, Joe McKnight, wouldn’t be chillin’ at the crib this mornin’ with no charges pendin’. On Thursday a 54 year old white man by the name of Ronald Gasser shot and killed ole boy durin’ what is bein’ described as a road rage incident in the community of Terrytown, just across the Mississippi River from New Orleans.
Accordin’ to witnesses at the scene of the crime, Gasser and McKnight were arguin’. Then, accordin’ to those same witnesses, McKnight was standin’ outside of the man’s car tryin’ to apologize and defuse the situation when ole boy shot and killed him.Then Gasser stood over McKnight and said, “I told you don’t you F with me.” And then shot him again while he’s layin’ on his back.
Now let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If the tables were turned on this situation and McKnight, a black man, would have shot Gasser, a white man, you already know that the brother would have been charged with murder and would probably be held without bond right now. There is no question that he shot and killed him because everybody saw him do it. There is no question that he shot an unarmed man because the police have already said that McKnight did not have a gun. There is no question that there were witnesses that have given statements because they’ve already talked to the police.
So why on earth is this man out of jail with NO charges pending’ this mornin’? This is what is so scary about bein’ a black man in America! We can be shot not only by the police like animals in the street but now civilians can take shots at us too and NOBODY goes to jail!! We just saw the cop down in Charlotte walk this week for killin’ a brother waitin’ for his kids to get out of school. And the jury in South Carolina is into their third day of deliberations and have told the judge that they can’t come up with a unanimous decision on a cop that is on camera shootin’ a black man in the back while he’s runnin’ away from him. This is the foolishness that I’m talkin’ about bruh! The fact that they are in three days worth of deliberations tells you that some foolishness is lurking!!
And PLEASE don’t bring up the ignorance that 93 percent of all black homicides are committed by black people and you don’t acknowledge the fact that 83 percent of all white homicides are committed by white people. People tend to get into arguments with people that look like them because they tend to live in the same communities etc.
Then it blows my mind that people will accuse the first black person that opens their mouth about bein’ treated unfairly in this country of bein’ a racist because they’ve actually got sense enough to see the injustice.
At least charge the guy with murder if all of the evidence suggests initially that he murdered the guy. They didn’t even take George Zimmerman to jail after he shot and killed Trayvon Martin until boyz went nuts in protest.
Let’s say that Gasser thought that his life was in danger. Once he shot ole boy and he went down he can’t stand over him and say, “I told you don’t you F with me.” And shoot him again!! The threat has been defused once McKnight’s been shot. That’s murder!! But accordin’ to the witnesses at the scene his life was never in danger.
But I’m the bad guy for simply suggestin’ that ole boy should not be sittin’ at home this mornin’ with no charges pendin’ after killin’ another human being!! I don’t care what color he was or the victim for that matter!! Wrong is wrong!! Killin’ someone just because you got mad isn’t justified homicide playboy. That dun needs to be charged with murder. Stop me when I start lyin’!
