Why it’s MANDATORY that both Tindley and Warren Central remain focused at Semi-State! “Game On!”

The Tindley Lady Tigers!!!

Since nobody else is willin’ to say it, I will!! Why isn’t there a girls semi-state game bein’ played this weekend in the biggest city in the state? This is the foolishness that I’m talkin’ about. Why the capital city of Indiana isn’t hostin’ a semi-state basketball game this weekend is mind blowin’ to all logical thinkers.

It’s no different than when I questioned durin’ football season why the No.1 team in the state, Ben Davis, was playin’ road games durin’ the playoffs and they were undefeated and the 5th ranked team in the COUNTRY!!

So now we fast forward to the girls state tournament and everybody and their baby’s momma knew that somebody from the city of Indianapolis would be reppin’ this deep in the tournament because all of the talent pool. And even if nobody made it out it’s the state capital!!! There should be games bein’ played here.

We’ve got Tindley reppin’ in the Class A spot and also Warren Central in the Class 4A game. However, they’ve both got to travel 2 and a half hours south to Jasper to play their games.

The Warren Central Lady Warriors!

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Now I know boyz are goin’ to argue that these locations have been set up for years and we have no idea who goin’ to make it this far in the tournament. And you’re absolutely right playa, but you’re makin’ my point. The fact that the semi-state is bein’ played off the grid makes it that much more difficult for the city schools to walk out of the joint with a win.

I grew up in Gary and it was a common knowledge that whenever a northern urban school ventured down state to play in the state tournament things started gettin’ fishy. All of sudden a boy was playin’ 8 on 5 instead of playin’ 5 on 5. C’mon bruh we’ve seen this movie play out a million times and only the very best teams wil survive. Not only because they’re good but because they’re able to stay composed.

This past football season Ben Davis was so much better than everybody else that it wouldn’t have made a difference where they played the games. They could have played on Mars and they would have won the state title.

Both Tindley and Warren are ballin’ right now so I expect them both to handle their business on Saturday and walk out of the joint with victories. Tindley (25-3) plays in the 4pm Class A matchup against Vincennes Rivet (25-2) and Warren Central (18-7) plays in the 6pm Class 4A matchup against Bedford North Lawrence (23-4).

The key to both team’s success is to keep their composure and not get caught up in the outside foolishness that may come up durin’ the course of the ball games. Don’t focus on the refs or the calls. Just do what got them to the semi-state and nothin’ more or less. Don’t pay attention to anything but the game and your OWN coachin’ staffs and we’ll have two teams reppin’ Naptown in the state Class A and 4A title games next week. Holla At Ya Boy and stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
