Why boyz sound crazy sayin’ that NBA players today are soft! “The Rules are the Rules”

"Players are the same as they were mentally as 1985 bruh!"

Every time some old head gets on the mic and says that NBA players today are soft I laugh. Boyz act like duns playin’ today don’t get mad and want to just jaw a boy for a hard foul or for simply talkin’ sideways to him.  However, because the rules of the game have drastically changed players can’t get down like they did in the 1980’s, ’90’s and before.

On Saturday the NBA suspended Washington’s Kelly Oubre Jr. for gettin’ up and bumpin’ Boston’s Kelly Olynyk after a hard foul on a screen where Olynyk elbowed ole boy in the face. Oubre Jr. wasn’t havin’ it and went at him.

When he jumped up and charged Olynyk you could tell that the dun was thinkin’ the entire time. He got up ready to jaw him but by the time he made his first step towards ole boy you could tell he was already doin’ the math on the fine and the suspension.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! In the 1980’s boyz could straight up scrap and then  finish the freakin’ game. Those were the rules at the time. Bird and Dr. J could square up, fight and then finish playin’. But now if you push a boy it’s a Flagrant Two with a suspension of the next game and that also costed you a fine and a game check.

And you’re askin’ me why players don’t fight anymore? You do the math! If LeBron is makin’ $30M per year and he gets’ suspended for fightin’. He not only hurts his team for the next game that he’s suspended for but he loses $365,853 for that regular season game. Now tell me again why a boy would fight in a game in today’s NBA?

If they were takin’ entire game checks in 1985 and suspendin’ boyz for playoff games there would never have been a team called the Bad Boys. Let me put it where the goats can get it for you bruh. If some dun walks up to you on your corporate job that pays you six figures and fires on you are you goin’ to hit him back in the middle of the office? If the answer is no then shut up talkin’ about players bein’ soft in the NBA today. Playin’ basketball is their job and they can’t afford to lose bread because some dun wanted to fight on the job. If you wouldn’t fight and risk losin’ an ENTIRE pay check then why would you be considered smart and the basketball player be considered soft?

So stop with the foolish comparisons as to why the players today are soft and the players from back in the day were so tough. Catch one of these duns out in the street and elbow one of them in the face and see how soft they are. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Square up: verb – to prepare to fight

3) Scrap: verb – to actually fight, to put hands on a boy

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
