By now everybody and their baby’s momma knows that Ben Davis’ 3-star wing man and team leader, Aaron Henry, has made his commitment to attend Michigan State University next fall. Ole boy is goin’ to play for Tom Izzo and boyz around his way couldn’t be more proud of him. He’s reppin’ the west side and most importantly the Ben Davis Giants.
After leadin’ his team to the Class 4A State Championship last spring his confidence has gone through the roof and this past summer the dun was unstoppable. On the AAU circuit he was a MONSTER with his work ethic on 10. Duns that were sleepin’ on him suddenly woke up.
All of a sudden boyz were offerin’ him that literally have always known he could hoop but wanted to see more out of him. A month ago he announced his Top 5 on his Twitter page and they were Butler, Ohio State, Michigan State, Illinois and Xaxier. When he dropped those names boyz got excited to see where the lil’/big homie would land.
After hoopin’ like crazy for Gary Harris’ AAU team this summer you can see why he ended up at Michigan State!!! A mentor that could give you a look into a program of success only makes sense bruh.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I wouldn’t want to see this dun this year if I were an opposin’ player bruh. He’s already committed to one of the best programs in America, his swag is on 10, everybody’s checkin’ for him and he’s still got another state championship in his sights. Not sure if boyz are goin’ to be ready to handle all of that on the high school level.
Why? Because Aaron Henry’s a grown man now playa. He’s not your typical high school basketball player anymore. Well…he never was but now he’s on another level because his mindset has caught up with his body and that’s become VERY dangerous. He’s a legitimate D1 hooper now and he’s out to prove that. Don’t think for one minute that he’s goin’ to take his foot off of the pedal because he’s committed to Michigan State. If nothin’ else, he’s out to prove to Tom Izzo that he didn’t make a mistake by offerin’ him a scholarship. He’s out to prove to boyz that he can come in and play as a freshman in the Big Ten. So therefore, he’s lookin’ to take boyz lunch money in the M.I.C. on his way out of Ben Davis. That’s real talk.
So if I were you preparin’ to play this cat this year. You better pull a Craig and Smokey on the front porch, take your jewelry off and hide it because Aaron Henry’s comin’ to get it like Debo in 2017-18. Why? because a dun named Aaron Henry just arrived and he’s on a mission to compete like nobody’s business!! Stop me when I start lyin’!
