Week 2: Gettin’ it in with the Red Devils as they prepare for Fishers! “The Bounce Back”

As we make our way around the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference better known to all the REAL live playas out here as the M.I.C.! We stopped through to holler at the Pike Red Devils as they prepare to bounce back from a tough loss last week at Zionsville 33-32 in the finals seconds. It was a thriller and if Week 1 is any indication of what we’ll see in Week 2 at the crib against Fishers, I’m all in. Sure, they loss the ball game but they played with the hearts of lions and are ready to put in the work necessary to build off of the momentum created in that game.

Coach Jimmy Graves is excited about what his young men were able to do after stormin’ back from bein’ down 27-7 and almost pullin’ off a Week 1 win. He was a guest on The Kent Sterling Show on CBS Sports Radio on 1430AM on Tuesday discussin’ his team’s potential.

It’s always great to see coaches and their teams prepare to do work and Coach Graves is as intense as they come! Check him out on a normal day of practice with his young thunder cats:

Keep up with us this week as we take you into the program at Pike. We’ll visit the state of the art football facility which includes the locker room, weight room, trainin’ center and stadium on Wednesday. We’ve got to show you how they get down in the M.I.C. and more specifically Pike. There’s a reason why this conference is always considered one of the Top 15 in the country. Duns are gettin’ it in around here playa. Do you hear me? So again, we’ll give you the full go on Pike this week as we prepare for the ball game on Friday. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
