If folks thought that Game 1 of the Decatur Regional was good they should have stayed for Game 2! Warren Central and Brownsburg blessed the floor with an unbelievable display of basketball. Warren escaped with a 58-50 win in OVERTIME!!! It’s was crazy!!!

The young ladies from the east side were able to go up 18-12 at the break on those from the far far west side. There weren’t too many fireworks in the first half. Warren pretty much controlled the tempo up to that point. I’m not sure what was said at the half but Brownsburg came out of the locker room on fire. They clamped down on defense and started shootin’ the rock. They forced crazy turnovers down the stretch to tie it up 35-35 at the 5:35 mark of the fourth quarter.

Warren looked as if they were completely fallin’ apart with turnover after turnover then somehow showed crazy maturity and made plays in the final seconds to knot it up at 45!!! OVERTIME!!!

The Bulldogs eventually ran out of gas durin’ the overtime while Warren showed a boat load of resilience to take over in the extra period.

Crazy defense down the stretch.

Warren’s Shaila Beeler went to work on them finishin’ with 19 points and crazy leadership!!! Both Maray Bell and Cydni Dodd dropped off 11 points on their way to Big Momma’s house too.

Veronica Roberts led Brownsbug with 13 as their season comes to an end. Salute young ladies you had a great season.

Get some rest today because we’ve got an all M.I.C. final tonight for the regional championship with the Pike Lady Red Devils and the Warren Central Lady Warriors puttin’ it down. Like the old timers used to say, “Be there or be square!” or like the these young thunder cats say now, “It’s about to be lit up in there tonight!” Stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
