TheJayGravesReport response to Keion Brooks Sr.’s (the player’s dad) denial of this foolishness over the weekend!

It blows my mind that Keion Brooks Sr., the father of Keion Brooks Jr., is tryin’ to act like he didn’t pull a LaVar Ball stunt over the weekend. Boyz are comin’ at me sideways when I simply reported the same foolishness that the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel reported on Sunday. I knew about it shortly after it happened over the weekend but refused to break the news. I figured they would get a handle on it and it wouldn’t get out.

However, the news paper reported it on Sunday mornin’ as BREAKING NEWS and then on Monday I gave boyz some insight on why it was crazy that an assistant coach, his dad, would be that selfish as to threaten to bounce and put the kid into prep school when they’ve got only 5 games left in the season with the sectionals right around the corner. I’ve got no problem with a cat decidin’ to go to prep school but to threaten to take the kid off of the team right before the sectionals start in a month was selfish.

And again my joint on yesterday wasn’t aimed at the kid because kids CAN’T make those types of decisions. That joint was squarely focused on the adult that is SUPPOSED to be the assistant coach.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Everybody affiliated with that program knows that it happened and if I’m so crazy then why wasn’t his dad (the assistant coach) and the player on the sideline on Saturday night at Elkhart Central? Complete no show! That’s not on the kid that on the dad.

How do you tell kids to “trust the process” in a tweet after the ball game that you missed when you left the very kids hangin’ that you’re supposed to be coachin’? You circumvented the process by not showin’ up bruh.

What you’ve got to understand playboy, is that your son is one of the best players in the COUNTRY!! So when you pull a stunt like that the word is goin’ to get out and you’ve got to know that it’s goin’ to get the attention of everybody coverin’ high school, college and pro basketball.

Not only that, it’s goin’ to get the attention of BIG TIME college coaches that make a livin’ coachin’ this game by recruitin’ elite players like your son. I ran into several college coaches last night that brought it up to me that hadn’t even seen my piece yet. They also said that boyz have to know that when you are in the position that these cats are in that they’ve got to know what it is. In other words, you can’t pull stunts like that and then get mad at a boy for doin’ his job.

Sure, everybody tried to act like it was all good on Monday but please don’t try to play me crazy because I reported what was real that made ABSOLUTELY no sense. The assistant coach essentially walked out on his team on Saturday by not showin’ up and then on Monday tried to act like it didn’t happen. If you don’t wanna be referred to as actin’ like LaVar Ball then don’t pull LaVar Ball-type stunts! But my sources are 100 and you stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
