Adrian Peterson must not be watchin’ the game of football evolve around him. Why? Because the dun is lookin’ to get bread that boyz simply aren’t willin’ to pay for a running back these days! He’s been on the free agent market lookin’ for somewhere to call home but nobody’s answerin’ the door. Why? Because the dun’s askin’ for more than $8 million dollars in 2017 to tote the rock!!!
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Nobody’s payin’ a freakin’ running back that type of bread in today’s game. Everybody’s runnin’ spread offenses now. The running back isn’t as valuable of a position as it traditionally was. Sure, Dallas is bangin’ with a young boy totin’ the rock but he was a rookie and they’re weren’t payin’ him a fortune!!
Oh, and did anybody tell Adrian Peterson that he’ll be 32 at the end of the month? Yeah, we all know that the dun won the rushin’ titles in 2012 and 2015 but none of that translates to wins and most importantly playoffs runs or Super Bowls.
He missed 13 games in 2016 due to injury. They went 11-5 and lost the Wild Card game in 2015 (Rushing title year). They went 7-9 and didn’t make the playoffs in 2014. In 2013 they were a horrible 5-10-1 with him him on the field. In 2012 (Rushing title year) they went 10-6 and lost the wild card game!
So knowin’ all of that playa, would you pay him $8 million to tote the rock? He’s unbelievable and runnin’ the football but it doesn’t translate to wins or playoff wins. He’s not worth the price tag and that’s why boyz aren’t answerin’ the door. Stop me when I start lyin’!
