William Hazlitt, the English writer, once said, “The only vice that cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy. The repentance of a hypocrite is itself hypocrisy.” Thomas Fuller, the English historian, broke it down like this, “We ought to see far enough into a hypocrite to see even his sincerity.” Then Tennessee Williams, the famous playwright, put it where the goats could get it when he spit, “The only thing worse than a liar is a liar that’s also a hypocrite!”
Well playas…the NFL is the liar that’s also the hypocrite! On Friday accordin’ to my mans and nem (league sources) neither Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon nor Baylor wide receiver Ishmael Zamora received invitations to the upcomin’ NFL Combine. Mixon was suspended for the entire 2014 season for punchin’ a woman in the face after bein’ shoved and choked by her. The video was finally released more than two years after the incident occurred back in December. Zamora was suspended for three games this past season after a video surfaced of him hittin’ his dog with a belt and kickin’ it.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The hypocrisy of the NFL completely blows my mind bruh!!! I can’t speak for this Zamora kid because I’m not sure where boyz had him listed on the draft board if any. However, Joe Mixon was the fifth rated running back in the country behind, Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, D’Onta Foreman and Christain McCaffrey on several draft boards. So whether he’s at the combine or not the dun’s gettin’ drafted!! Stop with the foolishness!!
Now I’m not justifyin’ what the kid did because he was obviously wrong. However, he’s already paid the penalty for his mistake two years ago by not playin’ the entire 2014 season and doin’ the 100 hours of community service. Now the NFL wants to stand up on the table and say look at what we’re doin’ knowin’ good and well they’re goin’ to draft the dun in April anyway? Knowin’ good and well they’re goin’ to show up in Norman right after the Combine to work the dun out on his Pro Day.
So why play the stupid game of tellin’ boyz that you’re not goin’ to have him at the Combine if he’s goin’ to be drafted anyway? All you’re doin’ is givin’ him a weekend off.
How do I know that he’s gonna be drafted? Because he’s the 5th rated running back in the country and they don’t make very many people that can do what he can can do. And the Sooners haven’t had any more problems out of him since he was reinstated to the team. So why wouldn’t he get drafted? Stop the foolishness!!
It would be different if they had told him that he couldn’t attend the Combine nor would he be eligible to be drafted. Then I’d respect these boyz. But to put on a show for the sake of puttin’ on a show is hypocrisy at it’s best! Stop me when I start lyin’!
