On Saturday boyz down in Bloomington announced that junior guard James Blackmon Jr., who leads them in scorin’, would be out indefinitely with a lower leg injury. Tom Crean issued a statement that read, “As much as this affects our basketball team — as with all of the other injuries this year — it hurts us much more for James. He has been playing at a very high level and this is unfortunate.”
You ain’t lyin’ that it’s unfortunate! I hate that such a good kid and great team leader is out because he’s been puttin’ in crazy work for the Hoosiers this season. Not only is he the leadin’ scorer but he’s the only cat that plays with some heart down there bruh. We just saw OG Anunoby got out with a knee injury and he’s out for the remainder of the season. Now this?
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! IU was already in trouble with Blackmon Jr. playin’ his heart out. They barely had a chance to even make the tournament with the dun playin’ at his absolute best and they sure as heck don’t have a shot at sniffin’ the tournament now. Who’s gonna step up and replace the scorin’ and heart that Blackmon Jr. has displayed? Not a single man on IU’s roster is capable of fillin’ that void.
So it is what it is playa! Another Indiana Basketball season down the drain. Why? Because there is no depth or heart in the program. Like I told you boyz early in the season. You can’t lose ball games you’re supposed to win because they’ll always come back to bite you in the butt. Losin’ to duns like IPFW and Nebraska shoots you in the foot before you even really get started.
When you lose to Fort Wayne nobody else on the schedule takes you seriously. So you walk into every gym down 15 points mentally on GP. Now that James Blackmon Jr. is out they’re down 25 points gettin’ off of the freakin’ bus! Because even if Indiana thinks that they can win the other team sure doesn’t think they’ll lose. Stop me when I start lyin’!
