Romeir Elliott leads No.1 Warren Central past No.6 Center Grove! “Ballin’!”

Warren Central's Romeir Elliott did enough work to win the Mr. Football Award hands down but wasn't even a finalist. Photo: TheJayGravesreport

GREENWOOD, IN. — No.1 Warren Central got off of the bus at Ray Skillman Stadium lookin’ for a problem, found it and corrected it real quick beatin’ No.6 Center Grove 27-15. They jumped all over the Trojans out of the gate and held them off down the stretch.

Before you could sit down and bite into your hot dog good they were up 6-0. Center Grove went a quick three and out, got their punt blocked, gave WC a short field and that’s how the rest of the night went for the Trojans. They were down 20-0 at the half in what seemed like an impossible hole to climb out of and it was.

Warren Central had so much swag already rockin’ the metallic gold helmets that givin’ them a short field was like choppin’ off your own two feet. They came to play and boyz really weren’t too happy with TheJayGravesReport for pickin’ them to get upset. It ain’t personal playboy! I just thought Center Grove would bring more to the table than they did, Boy was I wrong!!!

The young duns from the FAR EAST SIDE never allowed Center Grove to get into a rhythm and they did an excellent job of containin’ the War Horse, Carson Steele, all night. He ran hard but he couldn’t get loose because Warren was bringin’ the wood. I bet he’s goin’ to feel it in the mornin’. Trust me on that playa.

Now everybody and their baby’s momma was lookin’ for the incomparable David Bell to completely show out. Now he boiled the water goin’ up to the ceilin’ to catch a pass and he had a great punt return not to mention the corner blitz where he stripped Center Grove’s Jack Moore. Bell finished the night with 5 catches for 66 yards.

However, it was the lil’ homie Romeir Elliott that put on the show!!! Ole boy scored from 3 and 45 yards out in the second quarter and ran wild on the Trojan defense finishin’ with 17 carries for 150 yards. He got loose on a boy and put everybody in the buildin’ on notice. Not to mention that he made the first installment of the All-Uniform team on Friday night as well.

Yessir…Warren Central played like the No.1 team in the state and looked just as good with the sweet uniforms to match. They’ve got the No.1 team in Kentucky next week in Louisville Trinity on the road. Problem? No problem. No.5 Carmel knocked them off Friday night 24-21 to get revenge for last year’s loss. So now WC has to travel down there and get what belongs to them. That “W” back. Stop me when I start lyin’!

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
