Regardless of the box Mike Tirico decides to check he can’t get out of the car! “Say It Loud…”

This dun has to nerve to look intelligent human beings in the face and say he that isn't black.Photo: Getty Images Staff/Getty Images

On Saturday durin’ an interview with the New York Times Mike Tirico jumped out of the birthday cake butt naked foamin’ at the mouth talkin’ like a deranged maniac. The interview was entitled “Mike Tirico Would Like to Talk About Anything but Mike Tirico.” and now I see why. This dun with a straight face told a boy that he wasn’t black.

“Why do I have to check any box? If we live in a world where we’re not supposed to judge, why should anyone care about identifying?” Where is the Godfather of soul James Brown when you need him bruh? “Say it loud…I’m Black and I’m Proud!”

Now you know back in 1991 durin’ an interview with the Post Standard ole boy said this,

“When people go around and say, ‘You are black’ — well, I don’t encourage it, but by the same token I don’t back off of it. If you want to call me that, that’s fine. But, you know, in my whole family, there’s nobody I know who is black.”

Ole boy was raised by his mother Maria who is white. So he says, “The only contact I had growing up was with my mom’s side of the family. And they are all as white as the refrigerator I’m standing in front of right now.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Just because you don’t know your father doesn’t mean that you aren’t black or that he’s black!! It’s obvious that you’re black playboy. Look in the darn mirror!!! What blows my mind is that black folks in this day and age don’t want to be black. Durin’ the toughest times in American history, durin’ our enslavement, Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movements black folks were proud to be black. Now cats are tryin’ everything they can do to jump out of the ride.

Since the day slaves were brought to this country  in 1619 there have been biracial people bruh. You do realize that slave owners raped their own slaves to produce even more slaves which durin’ that day was called property to either sale or use for their own property. You do realize that right? They were biracial you know that right? But they are still considered black!!! Why? Because they were still slaves!!

So for hundreds of years in this country those light skinned folks were still considered black. Why? Because black folks didn’t make the rules. If there was an ounce of black blood in a person they were considered black. Again, we didn’t make the rules. If that were the case none of those offspring from the masters loins would have been slaves. If that were the case none of light skinned folks durin’ the Jim Crow era and civil rights movement would have been made to use the black water fountains, black restrooms or made to go to segragated schools. None of them would have been discriminated against for darn near 400 years in this country.

As a black man I’m offended when I hear black folks tryin’ to jump out of the car that they’ve been in with us all since we were brought to this country because it has suddenly become convenient to do. It’s even more disrespectful to the legacy of those “biracial” slaves and ancestors that lived and died in the chains of slavery, Jim Crow, segregation and the Civil Rights Movements that couldn’t conveniently get out of the car because it was permissible to say that they weren’t black.

So I’m cool with whatever box Mike Tirico and others like him decide to check as long as they understand that they are will always be perceived as black because they look black. O.J. was at one point was walkin’ around talkin’ that foolishness too. Michael Jackson even made a ridiculous song years ago tellin’ folks that it didn’t matter if your black or white.

Ask Philando Castile, Treyvon Martin, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and millions of others if it mattered. When the racist cop pulls you over he’s not askin’ you whether you mom or dad was white? He’s lookin’ at you and whatever you look like that’s the way he’s treatin’ you. So you better get comfortable with what you look like because at some point you’ve got to deal with who you really are. Thanks Jay-Z for writin’ “The Story of O.J.” for all of these cats that are delusional about who they are. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its real talk!
