Purdue’s bowl win is a direct result of Coach Brohm and Staff changin’ the atmosphere in West Lafayette!

Back on October 8 I wrote a crazy Hot Joint entitled Purdue AIN’T your normal Purdue anymore bruh! “Circumstances have changed!” It was after they came from behind at the crib to beat Minnesota 31-17. I’d also covered them in their season opener against Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson and Co. Yes, he put up crazy numbers against them but the Boilermakers forced four turnovers and made a game out of it only losin’ by 7 points. A few weeks later they ran over to Mizzou and blasted them.

Yes sir, things had changed in West Lafayette and on Wednesday night, first year head coach Jeff Brohm led his Boilermakers to a Foster Farms Bowl Championship. They came from behind in the final 2 minutes to knock off Arizona 38-31 to finish with the schools first winnin’ record (7-6) since 2011 and their first bowl win over a major conference opponent since they beat Washington in the Sun Bowl way back in 2002.

I covered several of their games this year and there was a completely different atmosphere in West Lafayette with Brohm at the helm. When you drove into the city it was electric and they hadn’t even accomplished anything yet. There was just a vibe in the air.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! There’s something special about this new head coach and his staff that resonates with these players. I saw a video that the Purdue Football team put out on Twitter this week as the team prepared for the bowl game. It was of coach Barclay gettin’ loose at practice gettin’ his players relaxed. He was groovin’ too!!!

This is what relatin’ to your players looks like bruh. This is the type of stuff that makes a player run through a wall for their coaches. The fact that Purdue put it on their official Twitter account means that they are all in on coaches keepin’ it real and bein’ themselves. Salute to the Purdue Boilermakers for changin’ the atmosphere in West Lafayette. Coach Brohm and staff has done an excellent job in just one year of turnin’ the ship around. I’m lookin’ forward to next year already. Stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its real talk!
