Purdue finally bounces back after three straight losses and knocks off Penn State!

After a three game skid, losin’ to Ohio State, Michigan State and Wisconsin the Purdue Boilermakers figured out how to get the car back on the road Sunday by barely gettin’ past Penn State 76-73. Folks were startin’ to worry about the psyche of this team just gettin’ back to winnin’ before the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments.

They rolled from November 23rd until February 7th without a loss knockin’ down a school record 19 game winnin’ streak. They looked unstoppable at the time but everybody that’s ever followed the Boilermakers knew that it wasn’t sustainable.

However, after losin’ three in a row by a combined 8 points it was good to see them finally close one out to get back to winnin’ again. Led by Sophomore guard Carsen Edwards’ 27 points followed by Dakota Mathias’ 18 as Isaac Haas dropped off a solid 12, Purdue regains some swag.

Surprisingly, startin’ forward Vince Edwards didn’t play as he showed up on the sideline in a walkin’ boot after sprainin’ his left ankle in practice on Saturday. Ole boy is questionable for the next two games with that injury.

I say hold him out so that he’s ready for the Big Ten Tournament comin’ up in NYC on February 28. There’s no need to play him against Illinois and Minnesota. If they can’t get past those two without him then they should literally not even waste their time goin’ to New York. I’m just sayin’.

They’re goin’ to need every bit of him to be ready to go come tourney time. It’s good to see the Boilers bouncin’ back. Stop me when I start lyin’!

1) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
