Proposed bill to refund Colts fans for players kneelin’ is stupid and unconstitutional! “Foolish Thinkin’!”

Colin Kaepernick decided to take a knee durin’ the national anthem in protest of police brutality, social and racial injustice in this country. Every since, fans all over the National Football League have been upset with the players that feel the same way he does about the overt racism in America.

We’ve seen countless numbers of unarmed black folks killed by police durin’ routine traffic stops or durin’ simple arrests. However, people that simply cannot identify with this type of abuse and racism have the nerve to be offended when a race of people that have been violated decide to tell the world that they’ve had enough and want to see change.

Well…a lawmaker in Indiana by the name of Milo Smith who is a republican from Columbus is proposin’ a bill that will allow fans who feel disrespected by the players kneelin’ durin’ the anthem to ask for a refund durin’ the first quarter. What!!!?

Milo had this to say, ““To me when they take a knee during the national anthem, it’s not respecting the national anthem or our country. Our government isn’t perfect, but it’s still the best country in the world and I think we need to be respectful of it.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Fans blow my mind always sayin’ that they felt disrespected when the players kneeled. I’ve heard people say on a regular basis that the players ruined their day.

Well why don’t you ask all of those mommas, daddies and loved ones that had to bury all of those unarmed family members killed by the police if their days were ruined or if they felt disrespected in any way?

It’s not like the players kneelin’ ran up to the person singin’ the national anthem and pulled the mic out of their hands and kept them from singin’ it.

But who gives this clown from Columbus the right to limit fellow American’s right to free speech. The First Amendment says that “Congress shall make no law respectin’ an establishment of religion, or prohibitin’ the free exercise thereof; or abridgin’ the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

That means that it would be unconstitutional to pass a law that would allow fans to demand a refund because players exercised their constitutional rights as Americans. This would be inhibitin’ the players rights to peaceably protest as the First Amendment says.

Do you realize that if that law were to pass any player that would kneel would probably be cut because they’d be costin’ the organization money.

Now I know that our current president wants to act like the First Amendment is only in effect for him and I guess Milo Smith thinks that he’s got the same privileges too. It’s funny how people want to be selfish when it comes to rights and privileges under the law. In other words, ole Milo and people that think like him will stand on the First Amendment when it comes to themselves but act like it was never written when others try to stand on it.

This is America isn’t it? I know that there was a time in this country when black folks were only counted as three fifths of a man and were sold as property but that time is long gone. We’ve got the same rights and privileges as every American today. Therefore, those players have a right to peaceably protest just like you have a right not to come to the game if someone is kneelin’ because they’re sick and tired of their people bein’ killed and mistreated by some bad police officers.

Let me put it where the goats can get it. Up until 2009 the players weren’t even on the field for the national anthem. The Department of Defense started payin’ the NFL millions of dollars to have the flag on the field and do patriotic salutes etc. because enlistment was down. Now all of a sudden you’re mad at the players for kneelin’? When was the NFL founded? In 1920? So for 89 years players weren’t even on the field for the anthem. This is foolishness and just another way for folks to tell people of color that they care nothin’ about the oppression that still exists today.

When Martin Luther King Jr. led the Civil Rights Movement durin’ the 1950’s and ’60’s duns called him the “Outside Agitator” because they hated everything that he stood for. He was hated so much that he was shot and killed in Memphis while standin’ on the balcony of the Loraine Motel. Why? Because he wanted ALL people to be treated equally.

And darn near fifty years later we’ve got a state lawmaker proposin’ a bill to keep people from expressin’ themselves for bein’ mistreated in America. If Milo Smith and people that think like he does would simply step back and realize that not every American has had the same experience in this country as they have, we could move forward. But as long as we continue to have foolishness thinkin’, we’ll have foolishness. Stop me when I start lyin’!

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.

3) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
