Pike jumps all over Ben Davis to take the Queens of the County Trophy! “Smooth”

With the amount of energy in the buildin’ you would have thought that it was an overtime game with the state championship on the line. Instead, it was just two old rivals gettin’ it in. Pike at Ben Davis for the Queens of the County trophy and braggin’ rights in the M.I.C. It wasn’t even close as Pike went to work down the stretch to beat the Lady Giants 74-53.

I’ve seen both of these teams several times this season and they get better every time I see them. However, on some real talk, Pike seems to get MUCH better every time I see them. Not takin’ anything away from Ben Davis but Pike has a loaded weapon that I don’t think anybody has an answer for right now.

Angel Baker is as smooth as silk!!! Do you hear me? Now I’ve seen all of the big guns play this year and she’s got to be the smoothest. She can handle the rock, shoot the three, take a girl to the rack and is a bonafide team leader. She never gets rattled and is in complete control at all times. In other words playa, she’s the real deal.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This game was extremely chippy with the girls bein’ very physical with one another. I was on edge just watchin’ it because I remember last year’s battle that literally turned into a battle.

However, everybody seemed to be conscious of it so they kept their toes right on the line. Even down to the last minute of play they were still goin’ at it and the game wasn’t even close!!! That’s what you call a rivalry game bruh.

If you hadn’t looked at the scoreboard you wouldn’t know that Pike was in complete for most of the game. Ben Davis played with the heart of lions for four quarters. Salute to them for playin’ that hard.

However, Pike had the weapons on full display. Michaela White went NUTS scorin’ a team high 24 points as Angel Baker dropped a smooth 23 off at Big Momma’s house with some sweet potato pie. Kinnidy Garrard was dangerous on the boards and was blockin’ everything in the air.

I can’t wait to see these two in the regionals. I just hope that everybody’s healthy. Stop me when I start lyin’!
