I believe in hard work as the prime solvent of life’s problems.” George Washington Carver broke it down like this, “Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.” Then my man Carlos Santana put it where the goats could get it when he spit, “Most people don’t have that willingness to break bad habits. They have a lot of excuses and they talk like victims.”
Well playas…the Indiana Pacers ran up to the Chi on Monday night, got beat 90-85 and started talkin’ like victims as soon as the ball game was over. In the post-game presser Nate McMillan started complainin’ about his team not gettin’ to the free throw line enough. Then he went in on Paul George playin’ 39 minutes and only gettin’ 1 free throw attempt.
Here’s what ole boy had to say, “They’ve got to give us more respect. No fouls. We only shot 10 free throws. Paul shot one free throw the entire game. He played 39 minutes. This is the second game where he’s getting a lot of grabbing, a lot of holding. (Jimmy) Butler shoots 12 free throws tonight. I mean, they’re getting away with a lot of grabbing on Paul and they’ve got to call the game both ways.”
Then my guy Nate Taylor from the IndyStar hollered at Paul in the locker room and the dun had this to say, “Since I’ve been in this uniform, that’s kind of how it’s been.” Then he goes on to say, “Since I’ve been in this jersey we’ve always fought this battle. Ever since I’ve been playing, ever since I’ve been in this jersey we’ve fought this battle. Maybe the league has teams they like so they can give them the benefit of the doubt. We’re the little brother of the league. We’re definitely the little brother of the league.”
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Really bruh? I mean, really? You duns are gonna blame the refs for literally fallin’ apart, wettin’ the bed and bellying up down the stretch with 21 seconds left, the rock, only down by three and comin’ away with NOTHIN’? Really bruh?
How bout Paul George ownin’ the fact that he played with absolutely NO effort ALL night long and then put up an air ball on the final possession of the night. How bout that bruh! How bout we stop makin’ excuses and play like the so-called superstar you’re supposed to be. How bout that playboy?
Sure, I can read the box score and see that you only got to the free throw line once all night. I saw the game playa! I saw the Bulls attempt 28 free throws compared to the Pacers 10. But I also saw the Pacers play with NO energy all night too. I saw the Pacers have an opportunity with 21 seconds left to make a play, get a bucket and the dun that’s supposed to be the man around this piece put up an air ball like his name was Ignatius Thistlewhite. For y’all that’s checkin’, that’s the dun from old school Christmas special, “The Year Without a Santa Claus.” You can call him Iggy for short.
C’mon bruh!!! It’s time to put the excuses to bed and play ball. I told you boyz in the Crazy Hot Joint entitled “Disappearin’ Acts” last week that Paul George is NOWHERE near bein’ a superstar and he proved my point again on Monday night.
The dun finished with 14 measly points and an air ball to close out the game!! Aaron Brooks came off of the bench to lead the Pacers with 19 points and he ended up with the ball in his hands after the doomed PG13 air ball. So guess what playa? When a boy ends up with the rock in the final seconds and he never intended to see the ball he panics an throw it away. That’s the type of foolishness that happens when you don’t have a superstar on the floor in the finals seconds with the game on the line. Stop me when I start lyin’!
