Pacers strike gold with Oladipo and Sabonis trade for Paul George! “Ballin'”

When the Pacers finally decided to trade Paul George to Oklahoma City for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. I was one of the first duns jumpin’ out of the birthday cake butt naked foamin’ at the mouth hollerin’ that they’d played themselves tryin’ to just stick PG somewhere.

Well playas…six games into this foolishness I can honestly say that I was dead wrong!! Kevin Pritchard and Co. are lookin’ like some straight up geniuses this mornin’! Not only are they gettin’ crazy production between the two of them but they’ve found the leadership they’ve been missin’ for the past few years.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Victor Oladipo has come in, in just six games and inserted himself into the leadership role without askin’ permission. It’s clear who the leader is and he’s ballin’ out of the control. Comin’ into Sunday’s games against the San Antonio Spurs he was averagin’ 26 points per game and boyz know who the man is on this team right now. They know who the go to guy is right now and in my Uncle LeRoy’s voice, “They know which side their bread is buttered.”

Without Myles Turner in the line up with a concussion for the past week or so. They’ve really had to rely on a deeper rotation of players but it keeps comin’ back to Oladipo. But don’t get it twisted son, Sabonis is ballin’ too.

Now everybody and their baby’s momma saw Vic knock down the deep high archin’ three with 10.3 seconds left to play on Sunday against the Spurs to eventually beat them 97-94. But how many cats actually looked at the box score? Between the two of them, Oladipo and Sabonis, they finished the night with 45 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists. Oladipo got ’em for 23 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. While Sabonis hit ’em up for 22 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists. That’s better than what Paul George could get you on his best night and the Pacers got some leadership out of it as an added bonus.

In the past five ball games I’ve been payin’ close attention to what those two are bringin’ to the table just to see what the trade actually gives the Pacers. You don’t have to be an analytics geek to see it either. It jumps off of the page at you bruh.

Oladipo is playin’ with the brick on his shoulders that he told me he would be playin’ with in trainin’ camp and he’s become the leader that they’ve needed so desperately as well. Sabonis is his Robin and we still haven’t seen what they look like with Myles Turner in the line up now that the two of them have gotten comfortable in Pacers’ uniforms.

If nothin’ else this team is fun to watch and there are no egos. If you’re a Pacers fan you’ve got to be as excited as I am to see how this thing is gonna play out. Stop me when I start lyin’!

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
