Pacers select TJ Leaf out of UCLA with the 18th pick but can he hoop? “Shop Talk”

With all of the foolishness of the Paul George saga the one thing that was certain on Thursday night was that the Pacers had the No.18 pick! Boyz needed to take care of the home front so they swooped up T.J. Leaf out of UCLA. Ole boy was a one and done that led the Bruins in scorin’ last season with 16.3 points per game.

He was an All-Pac-12 performer and was on the All-Freshman team! He was even an AP All-American Honorable Mention blah,  blah, blah!! But what boyz in the barber shop want to know is, can he hoop? And can he help the Pacers right now?

Well…let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The dun CAN shoot the rock! He was second in the Pac-12 in field goal percentage at 61 percent and he was 46 percent from downtown! That’s always good when a boy can put it in the basket.

The only problem is that he’s not playin’ with Lonzo Ball anymore. Lonzo found him on the floor and gave him the opportunity to shoot the the rock. Now he’s comin’ into a buildin’ where nobody’s sure who’s goin’ to be runnin’ the point. Will the Pacers be able to sign Jeff Teague? We don’t know playa but in order for this youngster to be able to do the things he did at UCLA he’s gotta have a point guard that can see the floor.

Nate McMillan was extremely excited about havin’ him on board because he can spread the floor with his ability to shoot.

Sit in the cut and wait to see what they’re able to build around he and Miles Turner. It should be fun to watch because only God knows what this team will look like next year.

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its real talk!
