After only seven games the Indiana Pacers seemed to have found their rhythm even without one of their team captains, Myles Turner, on the floor. As stated before, I thought these duns would only win 25 games this season with all of the new faces they had and no “Superstar” after Paul George was traded.
Well playboy…every night they look better because they’re winnin’ ball games they should win and they’re playin’ together with no egos. On Tuesday night that beat the brakes off of ole dull Sacramento 101-83 like they should have. Pacers fans have to be excited to see these boyz showin’ up handlin’ their business.
Sure, they beat San Antonio without Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard but they shouldn’t have even won that game on paper. So for them to win games like this early on in the season is huge. Then to turn around and drag the Kings two days later is a huge confidence builder for them and the fan base.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes1st! The Paul George trade for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis has been worth every dime bruh. Every night I’ve been watchin’ the production of those two compared to what PG would bring to the table and it’s not even close. Against the Kings they combined for 26 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists and they only played 28 and 25 minutes respectively. At the end of the day numbers like that tells a boy that the trade was worth it.
With Sabonis at the five and Bojan Bogdanovic at the four with Myles Turner out with a concussion. Bogdanovic hit ’em up for 17 points to lead the Pacers in scorin’ in only 27 minutes.
The starters got to rest most of the second half after blowin’ the doors off of these cats in the first half. They led 55-30 at the break. It’s a good thing that they were able to get some rest because they were headed to the airport after this one to fly to Cleveland to play King James and Co. on Wednesday night. The second half of a back to back is always terrible for NBA teams. That’s why the league has cut the team average for back to backs down from 16 to 14 by startin’ the season two weeks early this year.
Again, this team has been fun to watch because there are no egos and they share the basketball very well. They met there per game goal of 25 assists per night again and ole Nate McMillan was pleased with the movement.
And what can I say about the way Victor Oladipo has been able to do in terms of insertin’ himself as a leader on this team by playin’ lights out through seven games. Salute playboy and stop me when I start lyin’!
