Jackson Brown Jr., the famous author, put it where the goats could get it when he spit, “You must take action now that will move you towards your goals. Develop a sense of urgency in your life.”
Well playas…the Indiana Pacers didn’t move with a sense of urgency on Monday night in Charlotte at all. They showed up like they’d just walked out of some soul food restaraunt on the near north side lookin’ for a place to take a nap. They got off of the bus without an ounce of energy and the Hornets jumped all over them winnin’ 100-88.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! It’s hard enough playin’ on the road in the NBA anyway and you sure can’t show up sleep walkin’ bruh! The Hornets outscored the Pacers 27-16 in the first quarter and to make matters worse they outscored them 31-21 in the second. Once a boy pushes your face in the dirt in his front yard in front of HIS Big Momma there’s no comin’ back from that playa.
It doesn’t matter that Paul George mustered up 36 points bruh! You’re so far behind that you don’t have the instant fire power to recover. Sure, the homie C.J. Miles got you 16 and Monta Ellis came out of the bushes with 12 but you only got 10 out Teague and pretty much nothin’ from anybody else. That’s why you can’t afford to fall asleep at the wheel comin’ out of the gate.
Kemba Walker goes nuts droppin’ off 28 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds with Nicolas Batum comin’ through with 21-4-4! Jeremy Lamb hit a boy up for 14 while Cody Zeller came through with a solid 13 points and 11 rebounds.
