M.I.C. Preview: Warren Central becomes a closer unit durin’ the offseason and it just might be TROUBLE!

Warren Central is back better than ever bruh! Photo: IMGFlash

With the tragic death of superstar outgoing senior Dijon Anderson this past May the Warren Central football family’s foundation was rocked. Just before graduation some dun killed him over a pair of sneakers before he could pursue his dream playin’ college football at the University of Southern Illinois on full scholarship.

So of course durin’ the remainder of the offseason Coach West’s concentration for his team was not on football. It was gettin’ his young men to really focus on themselves with decision makin’, friendship and support of one another. In his opinion, his football team is behind on football right now because of what was really important. However, they are a much closer unit as a result. Check out what he had to say after practice on Friday about it:

However, I attended their Black and Gold scrimmage on Friday evenin’ and if his team is behind on football the rest of the MIC and state of Indiana are in trouble!!! Why? Because these young thunder cats were gettin’ it in! Sure, it’s only been a week into camp but their competitive nature was through the roof and unfortunately somebody’s gotta eventually play them.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! They went undefeated a year ago in the MIC, one of the best conferences in America, finishin’ the season with a record of 10-2 after a devastatin’ loss to conference rival Center Grove in the state regional final.

Sure, they’ve got to replace the quarterback/running back duo of Zack Summeier and Tristen Tonte, which accounted for 44 touchdowns last season but from what I saw on Friday evenin’ the Warriors aren’t trippin’ about the talent they’ve got to make up the difference this year. Just from the eyeball test on Friday playboy, their wide receiver corps is NUTS!!! Put it like this, if you put the ball in the air they’re goin’ to go get it. No ifs, ands or butts about it. Talk about bein’ hungry for the rock?

The unbelievably talented junior wide receiver David Bell is a beast comin’ off of an outstandin’ sophomore season where he put up some already ridiculous numbers. Ole boy caught 68 passes for 1,201 yards and 17 touchdowns! Y’all did hear me say as a sophomore right? He made the MaxPreps Sophomore All-American First Team and accordin’ to them he’s the top junior prospect in the state of Indiana and he’s already gotten offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State and Notre Dame goin’ into his junior campaign!!! Stop it bruh!! Jayden George, the son of Warren great Jeff George, will take over as the startin’ quarterback. He’s got the pressure of tryin’ to do what is old man and older brother did at Warren. That’s to win a state championship.

Then they’ve got two seniors that can go get it like nobody’s business too! Dean Tate had 51 catches for 835 yards and 7 touchdowns and Daijour Griffie who had 45 catches for 609 yards and 3 touchdowns. Like I said, put the ball in the air and it’s “On and Poppin'” like Chris Brown.

On the defensive side of the ball they’re just as dangerous led by senior linebacker Nigel Dobbs who finished last season  with 71 tackles. Then there’s defensive tackle Justin Britt that is one of the state’s top juniors too. Ole boy already has offers from Louisville, Iowa and Indiana. Wheredeydodatat? Warren Central playboy!!

Yeah bruh, boyz better boot up when the Warriors show up on the schedule because if they get any better than what I saw on Friday night it’s gonna be in my Bernie Mac Players Club voice, “TROUBLE, TROUBLE! Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – however I’m talkin’ about bruh. Keep up with me.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo is real today bruh!
