LeBron sounds as delusional as his GM about boyz restin’! “Tupac”

"Oh we're maxin' and relaxin' over here playboy!"

On Saturday the Cavs went out to LA to play the Clippers for the NBA Prime Time game that boyz have been advertisin’ all freakin’ week. The night before the game Cleveland announces that they are goin’ to rest LeBron, Kyrie and Kevin Love. As a result, the NBA called the Cavs GM David Griffin and gave that dun an ear full because they’re chargin’ sponsors top dollar to advertise on these time slots. Why? Because at the end of the day it’s still business.

So on Sunday boyz asked LeBron his thoughts on all of this and he answered the question like a selfish basketball player makin’ guaranteed money would.

“I don’t think the NBA can do anything about it. At the end of the day, it sucks at times where certain guys have to rest, but certain guys need rest. And it’s a long, strenuous season and the NBA does a great job of putting the schedule together as best as they can. You’re going to have back-to-backs. You’re going to have certain games where certain things fall on certain nights, but a coach’s job is to figure out a way for their team to compete for a championship, not compete for a game.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Spoken like a true player lookin’ to win a championship. I completely understand what he sayin’ from a players perspective because he’s gettin’ guaranteed money and he’s only concerned about doin’ what he has to do. I get it. The only problem with that line of thinkin’ is that there are several other entities sittin’ at the table playa. You’ve got the sponsors, the fans and the league and all of them have to be satisfied.

I get that all you wanna do is be healthy enough to make a run to the Finals. LeBron isn’t concerned with how the fans or the sponsors feel because he got his bread and his rest. But the only reason that he got his bread was because the darn networks signed deals with the sponsors to advertise at top dollar with the thinkin’ that ole boy would be playin’.

The fans bought the tickets at top dollar in anticipation that he would be playin’! So somewhere in middle of this foolishness he, his selfish friends and the league have to come to a happy medium. If he needs rest then he should rest on the dull Wednesday night in February when they’re playin’ Detroit at the crib and nobody lookin’ for him anyway. Not on the prime time Saturday slot or even when they are on the road because those fans don’t get to see him every night. He and his boyz should only be restin’ at the crib against dull teams. And if they aren’t hurt they should still lose the game check.

But to rest on a Prime Time Saturday time slot when it’s Tupac up in this piece “All Eyes On Me” is unacceptable. The league needs to start takin’ full game checks from boyz that don’t play when they’re healthy. Don’t take the bread if you want to sit out because the season is too long. That’s as real as it gets playa. Stop me when I start lyin’!
