Boyz have been chompin’ at the bit to play the “Battle for Lawrence” for the past 364 days. So on Friday night they were given permission to get it in! No.4 Lawrence Central jumped in the ride and took a short trip across town to holler at a boy that’s been wantin’ to see them. No.7 Lawrence North opened the door and welcomed them in.

Everybody and their baby’s momma came through to see these boyz settle an ongoin’ friendly beef. When the dust finally settled Lawrence Central had gotten out of the joint with LN’s sneakers and jewelry and the trophy for the 12th consecutive time by winnin’ an OUTSTANDING ball game 26-21.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! You know the drill! In a rivalry game everybody’s leavin’ something on the table and some cats are even willin’ to leave a piece of their soul out there. Well playas…Lawrence Central did just that. They showed up in the Big Body Chevy bumpin’ that DJ Khaled “All I do Is Win” joint with the Bear drivin’ blind folded!

The score board didn’t reflect how dominant LC was offensively but they put in work. The Bears put up 308 yards of total offense on 62 plays!! They piled up 133 yards on the ground and another 175 yards in the air behind quarterback Donyell Meredith who completed 14 of 21 passes. Ole boy found wide receiver Kirk Pinkston on 6 catches for 102 yards. Then Coach Peebles hit them with the one-two punch on the ground with Bryce Anderson (10 carries/87 yards) and John Childs (22 carries/80 yards).

Now don’t get it twisted, Trevon Bonds toted the rock like a straight up G for Lawrence North finishin’ with 16 carries for 158 yards!!! However, they wouldn’t throw the football bruh! For some reason the Wildcats only attempted 6 passes and  completin’ one of them for a total of 5 yards. Wheredeydodatat?

With Lawrence North bein’ as predictable as they were the Bears were able to get out of the joint with another Battle for Lawrence win.

What was so crazy is that Lawrence North actually controlled the time of possession 36:00 to 24:00. Even with havin’ the football for 12 more minutes the Wildcats couldn’t convert that time into points. Give duns like Manny Bellamy credit for leadin’ the LC defense like a stud is supposed to. Ole boy was all over the field on Friday night Quavo on records on the radio bruh. Big props to LC for puttin’ in work again.

However, I was very impressed with LN’s ability to keep this joint tight. Good luck the rest of the way for both teams and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Big Body Chevy: noun – Chevy Impala model 1985-90.

3) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m talkin’ about.

4) Wheredeydodatat?: Hood for “Who does that?”

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
