Kaepernick: “I didn’t vote!” Completely nullifies his protest! “Get Up bruh”

"Not really sure what I'm doin' bruh!"

Richard Cecil, the 18th century Evangelical priest, once said, “The first step towards knowledge is to know that we are ignorant.” Benjamin Franklin broke it down like this, “We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.” Then Sun Tzu, the ancient Chinese military strategist, pushed all of the dominoes off of the table in the barber shop when he spit, “If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself, you are certain to be in peril.”

Well playas…on Wednesday Colin Kaepernick made one of the most ignorant statements ever made in the history of sports! After spendin’ the entire NFL season and part of the pre-season on his knee in protest to unarmed black men bein’ shot and killed by police officers. The fact that they have not bein’ so much as charged with a crime, fired, suspended without pay or much less indicted, he told the media that he didn’t even vote.

This dun said out of his OWN mouth that he “really didn’t pay too close of attention” the election. He goes on to say, “I’ve been very disconnected from the systematic oppression as a whole. So, for me, it’s another face that’s going to be the face of that system of oppression. And to me, it didn’t really matter who went in there, the system still remains intact that oppresses people of color.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Colin Kaepernick may as well get up off of that knee that he’s been burnin’ all season when the national anthem comes on. If you don’t vote you don’t have a voice bruh! Voting is your ability to make change in this country. So if you don’t like the way things are then you have the ability to be heard with your vote. Not your knee!!! The knee was cool but the VOTE COUNTS!!!

What this dun and many like him fail to realize is that the systematic foolishness in play that is slanted against them is slanted because they continue not to vote!!! Bruh…when laws are passed they are passed by the people that we as an electorate send to Washington. So if you don’t participate in the process then you’ve got NOTHING to say!! If you don’t send anybody to Washington or even your state and local governments that think like you think about equality etc. Then you’re goin’ to get nothin’ that benefits you!!

When Michael Brown was killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri and the prosecutor failed to indict the dun responsible for his death boyz went nuts. However, more than 60 percent of the people in Ferguson were black and 92 percent of the police force was white. Why? Because the black folks in Ferguson hadn’t been votin’. So therefore, the people that had been votin’ voted the dun in that thinks like they think as the prosecutor and sheriff. Those are elected positions. Mighty funny that durin’ the mid-term elections shortly after Michael Brown’s death the prosecutor was voted out of office. That’s real change bruh!! Protest is always good but the real change comes through the political process.

Runnin’ around mad, protestin’ by stoppin’ traffic and tearin’ the city up doesn’t change anything. On Wednesday night all over this country I saw people protestin’ Donald Trump’s presidency but I couldn’t help but ask, “How many of those same cats protestin’ actually voted?” Your protest was your vote!! If you didn’t vote then you’ve got NOTHIN’ to say!!

And most importantly, you’ve got to respect the office of the presidency because you wanted that same office respected when Barack Obama was elected. There’s no sense in protestin’ now because when you had a chance to protest but you didn’t vote!!

When I look up and see that only 19 percent of African Americans voted then we’ve got nothin’ to say about who is the president because 81 percent of us didn’t care who became the president. When I see that only 30 percent of black folks in Atlanta voted or only 40 percent in Cleveland voted etc. it tells me that they didn’t care about the systematic oppression that Kaepernick keeps talkin’ about. So don’t run out and stop traffic today because people are tryin’ to get to work this morning.

If Donald Trump can be a bully, a racist and a person that demeans women and still win the presidency then that will set the tone for the behavior of most people now. So if you saw that and still decided not to vote then protestin’ the national anthem, Colin Kaepernick, is a complete waste of time. Because obviously you didn’t care enough about the inequalities of the system to make your vote count.

Think about it bruh, there is now a republican president, senate and house. Now I don’t care what your political preference is I’m just makin’ a point. That means that whatever progress benefited the poor and workin’ class of America can easily changed without resistance. There is no such thing as a filibuster now.

Think about this playa, those people that have been able to get insurance through Obamacare because no one would insure them due to pre-existing conditions etc. Will more than likely lose that benefit because boyz are talkin’ about completely repealing Obamacare. That’s just one example.

Oh, you want another example? For all of you young folks that haven’t been takin’ care of your business that think like Kaepernick thinks. I’ve got one for you playa! The law that says that you can stay on your parent’s health insurance until you’re 26 will be taken away because the dun that you didn’t vote against says that he will take it away as soon as he gets into office. Why? Because you didn’t vote!!  So now you’ve got to figure out how you’ll be insured goin’ forward because you will no longer have it.

But because you didn’t vote you have no say in the process in how things turn out. Because you didn’t vote the next 2 or 3 Supreme Court justices that are nominated won’t think like you think because presidents recommend the cat that thinks like they think. So when cases roll up to the Supreme Court the decisions made on them will not be the decisions that you think they should be. Why? Because you didn’t vote.

So don’t run around here kneelin’ and stoppin’ traffic for the next four years if you didn’t have the sense to push one button on election day. It’s called the democratic process and you have to respect it. We all knew what the rules were goin’ in and if you don’t vote in America you don’t have a say in what goes on in America. Good or bad bruh. Don’t do what Kaep did and just look the part! Be the part!!

Kaepernick is like the dun that pledges the frat, shows up at the party wearin’ Greeks, steppin’ all night, singin’ all the chants and shows up at the after-party and drinks up all the liquor. However, the next mornin’ when it’s time to do the service project and go to frat meetin’ he’s nowhere to be found.

Do you know how many people died just for us to have the right to vote and be heard? Well you insulted their legacy by not voting! Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Spit: verb – to say

2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its REAL talk!

  1. Man you said a mouth full for a number of people!! If one is going to protest or rise up against anything or anyone, they MUST have a real plan and strategic agenda that will insight others to join or follow. We’ve come a long way as a Black race and still have a longgggg way to go, however, we MUST realize it will take educated, calculated and God-fearing people to keep the movement going. And not just our race, but, all people races and nationalities MUST do same.

Agreed, this Dun you speak about, simply negated all the kneeling her did by not exercising his right to VOTE. Where I come from they call him “knuckle head.”

  2. It took everything in my power to make it all the way through this unfounded poor excuse for relevant rhetoric. Anyone who has actually researched the history of this political system would know better than to make the asinine assertion that determining who would go in the White House, as if we actually decide that in the first place (Presidents have always been selected, not elected — do your research), would change things calls for complete ignorance of the fact that Blacks have never had a president that actually addressed their interests efficaciously. There has always been empty movements and emphatic rhetoric, but no true progress. Sense the emancipation, which was not about the rights of Blacks, but the preservation of the Union, Blacks have been the victims of convict leasing, share cropping, Black Codes, Jim Crow Segregation, Red Lining, Urban Renewal, Benign Neglect, Gentrification, Mass incarceration, the systematic disintegration of the Black Family nucleus, and more. Even integration was to our detriment. Anyone who actually understands the political system understands that to withhold a vote is to withhold an endorsement of either candidate. Every person not only has a right to vote their conscience, they have a responsibility to do so, and when there is no candidate to satisfy your conscience you express that by not participating in the process. Only a fool participates in a process they don’t believe in. There is no such thing as the lesser of two evils. That is an illusion. Evil is evil.
