On Thursday night as I’m tryin’ to fight the traffic and the snow to get into Bankers Life Fieldhouse. I run into these three cats tellin’ boyz how important havin’ fun should be. Garth Brooks shouted, “Just keep taking chances and having fun.” Nina Dobrev, the Bulgarian-Canadian actress, said this before hittin’ a boy with a snowball, “Even though you’re growing up, you should never stop having fun.” Then Randy Pausch, a professor of computer science, jumped out of the whip right in front of the joint with an oversized Pacers jersey on and hollered, “Never, ever underestimate the importance of having fun.”
Well playas…the Indiana Pacers finally look like they’re havin’ fun as they seem to have turned the corner. On Thursday night the Brooklyn Nets rolled into town and got rolled right out of the joint with a 121-109 “L.” A week or so ago Paul George was tellin’ boyz that he wasn’t havin’ fun playin’ this game but everybody and their baby’s momma knew that havin’ fun was equivalent to winnin’. Now that they’ve rattled off four in a row it’s like Christmas time at the North Pole around that piece.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! It’s never fun when you’re losin’ bruh!! It’s taken a minute but now the offense is startin’ to click and the new lineup with Glenn Robinson III at the two guard with Monta Ellis comin’ off of the bench is workin’.
Jeff Teague has finally settled in and like I told you boyz in the crazy Hot Joint entitled “Engine” back on December 20th that the Pacers would only go as far as Jeff Teague would take them. At some point y’all gone start listenin’ to me. The Pacers are ballin’ right now not because Paul George is ballin’ but because Jeff Teague is ballin’!!
The dun finished the night with 21 points and 15 dimes!! Over the last four games he’s thrown 49 assists bruh!! The fact that the rock is movin’ so smoothly on the floor is the reason why the Pacers are turnin’ the corner. Yes PG13 is doin’ what he does but he’s been doin’ what he does all season playa. Production from the Olympic Gold medalist has never been the problem.
Now that Teague is pushin’ the rock and boyz have found their rhythm with him it’s makin’ all the difference in the world. Paul George finished with 26 points and an order of swag with mild sauce on the side. The young boy, Myles Turner, stopped threw Big Momma’s house with 25 points and 15 rebounds!!
Let’s pause like a comma right there bruh. It hasn’t been that long since the Pacers were stuck with “Skittles and Lemonheads” that was 7’0″ 290 lbs givin’ a boy absolutely nothin’!! When I say nothin’ I mean nothin’! In my Bernie Mac Players Club voice, “NOTIN’-NOTIN’!!!! He would play an entire game and finish with zero points and zero rebounds!! Myles is certainly a consistent breathe of fresh air.
Thaddeus Young is a solid contributor every night and he brought dessert over with 10 points and 6 rebounds!!
