Jeff Brohm’s got the Purdue Boilermakers doin’ work bruh! Blasted Mizzou 35-3! “Settin’ the Tone”

Purdue goes to work on Mizzou in front of Big Momma nem. Blasts them 35-3! Photo: Journal Courier

In the classic movie 48 Hours with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte. Ole boy walked into the joint and said, “There’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Reggie Hammond.” Well playas…in real life a dun walked into the Mollenkorpf Center last spring and told everybody, “There’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Jeff Brohm! Get on the program or keep it movin’!”

He’s changed the culture at Purdue in just three games and now there is a sense of urgency to win ball games and to compete in EVERY one of them. So on Saturday the Boilermakers rolled into Columbia, beat the brakes off of Mizzou 35-3, got back in the ride and went to the crib.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Purdue’s playin’ at an entirely different level now. I covered their first ball game against Lamar Jackson and company and they played like a team on a mission only losin’ to the defendin’ Heisman Trophy winner and his boyz by 7 points 35-28. Sure, Lamar put up crazy numbers but they kept it close by forcin’ turnovers.

In just a few short months Brohm has changed the mindset in West Lafayette and boyz are belieivin’ in the process and now nobody’s just circlin’ “W’s” on the schedule next to Purdue. Yeah, they’ve got a long way to go but they’ve looked good the first three weeks.

David Blough got the start on Saturday at Mizzou and did great work goin’ 22 of 28 for 187 yards and a touchdown. He methodically walked a boy down the field on their first three drives for touchdowns. They went 75, 87 and 96 yards. That takes leadership and patients especially on the road.

Don’t get it twisted, Elijah Sindelar is still in the mix at quarterback too. He was 4 of 6 passin’ for 85 yards and a touchdown.

As great as Purdue’s offense looked their defense looked even better only givin’ up a total of 203 yards of total offense. They only gave up 133 yards in the air and 70 on the ground forcin’ three turnovers.

The Boilermakers dominated the time of possession by holdin’ on to the rock for more 43 minutes!!! Wheredeydodatat? They’ve set the tone for a very competitive season bruh.

Yeah playboy, it should be a fun year up in West Lafayette. At least folks will be anticipatin’ a product that will compete and knock a few boyz off in the process. The first test is comin’ up on Saturday when Mr. Khaki pants himself rolls into the town with the Michigan Wolverines. They won’t be givin’ away tickets up there for very much longer I can tell you that playa. Jeff Brohm has already set the tone. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

3) Wheredeydodatat: Hood for “Who does that?”

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
