It’s Game Time Playa and Alabama will end up on the Merry-Go-Around! “Vicious Cycle”

For all of the marbles playa!

Well playas…all the talkin’ is over because they strap them up tonight in Atlanta. All of the analyzin’ of this foolishness goes away as boyz actually take the field. Alabama vs. Georgia for all of the marbles.

Now it really doesn’t matter how we all feel about how boyz got in or whether you think Alabama should have been chosen to play in the playoff or not after finishin’ third in their own conference. They’re here now right? When the playoff committee was put together three years ago they said that strength of schedule, wins and losses and conference titles would be weighed heavily while makin’ decisions as to who would be chosen to play in the Playoff.

However, for the second year in a row duns have gotten in without a conference title in their pockets and this year Alabama walks in on reputation not only empty handed on the conference title but their strength of schedule was horrendous. But that’s neither here nor there today right? They got in and beat the brakes off of Clemson in the semifinal. So here we go.

Georgia not only won the SEC but they get major props for travelin’ to South Bend Week 2 and beatin’ Notre Dame. That was huge not because it was Notre Dame but because they actually traveled out of the south and played a true road non-conference game. HUGE!! Why? Because they hadn’t done that in fifty years.

That’s how these SEC teams keep from gettin’ knocked off durin’ the regular season, especially Alabama. Don’t schedule true road games in hostile environments and you’re good. Typical Alabama!!!

So who wins this game tonight? Georgia came from bein’ 17 points down in the Rose Bowl to Oklahoma, who couldn’t tackle at all, to win it in double overtime. They’ve got the one-two punch plus one at runnin’ back. Sony Michel and Nick Chubb are not playin’ with these boyz. They averaged 10 yards a pop in the semifinal as they ran all over OU.

But let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! They aren’t about to run all over Bama. In my G.I. vernacular, “Ain’t Gone Happen Playa!” Their front seven and most importantly their linebackin’ corps is NUTS!!

Bama, in my opinion, will force Georgia to have to throw the football. The question is, will the young freshman, Jake Fromm, be able to handle the responsibility? He hasn’t had to carry these boyz on his shoulders all season because of the runnin’ back corp. Today he’ll have to become a GROWN man on the biggest stage of college football and I don’t think that he will.

The only chance that Bama had of losin’ this playoff would have been havin’ to play Oklahoma. They’re 0-3 the last three times they’ve played the Sooners because their defense isn’t built to handle the spread. Georgia comes in with an offense that’s perfect for what Bama does defensively.

Ole Nick Saban and Co. are lickin’ their chops for a runnin’ attack and a freshman quarterback that hasn’t been forced to throw it. Bama wins this game goin’ away whether you like it or not playboy. Put them down for 5 out of the last 9 national titles.

Until there becomes a rule that states that you have to schedule home and away non-conference games and you can’t schedule a smoke break in Week 12 (Mercer) while everybody else is fightin’ for their lives. Oh and the committee stops pickin’ teams based on name recognition alone. Alabama will keep gettin’ in and winnin’ national championships because if givin’ the opportunity to get healthy in thirty days they’ll more often than not beat you. Why? Because in the world of college football, unlike in the NFL, the rich keep gettin’ richer.

As long as they keep winnin’ they’ll always get better players. Better players and an opportunity to play for the title means winnin’ the title which means that they keep gettin’ better players. See how that works? It a vicious cycle that can only be stopped if some fool messes it up with an NCAA investigation or something crazy like that. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
