Marcus Aurelius, the ancient Roman emperor, once said, “The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury.” Samuel Johnson, the English writer, broke it down like this, “Revenge is an act of passion; vengeance of justice. Injuries are revenged; crimes are avenged.” Then Meir Kahane, the rabbi, poured out a lil’ liquor for all of the dead homies when he spit, “No trait is more justified than revenge in the right time and place.”

Well playas…at 9pm eastern standard time on Thursday in Iowa City was the time and place for the Hawkeyes (11-7,3-2 Big Ten) to get revenge on the Purdue Boilermakers (14-4, 3-2 Big Ten) for blastin’ them in West Lafayette in the Big Ten opener. The No.17 Boilermakers came in rollin’ after a huge win over Wisconsin last week. However, they had no answer for a dun named Peter Jok and the Hawkeyes in the second half as they went down 83-78.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Iowa shot the street lights out of the joint in the second half and destroyed the Boilermakers on the glass. They finished the game shootin’ darn near 57 percent from the field and 43 percent from behind the arc. However, they shot a ridiculous 67 percent from the field in the second half!! There’s nothin’ you can do when a boy gets in a zone like that bruh!!

Well, yeah there is, REBOUND the basketball and take away their opportunity to get additional possessions!! The Hawkeyes out rebounded the Boilermakers 35-28 and nobody in the buildin’ had an answer for Peter Jok. The dun put up 29 points and threw 8 dimes in an unconscious fit.

Caleb Swanigan  led Purdue with 17 points and 8 rebounds as Isaac Haas and Vince Edwards each contributed 13 apiece.

Flat out, Purdue got out worked in the second half by some duns that caught fire out of nowhere.

Up next for Purdue: Illinois on 1/17 and stop me when I start lyin’!
